Introduction
This week, let’s dive into the Recharge ability in Splinterlands! It’s a fun mechanic that takes a bit of patience to use but can dish out massive damage. The way it works is simple: the first round is all about charging up, and then in the second round, bam—3x damage unleashed! Let’s see how to make the most of it.
Ability
This Unit attacks every other round but does 3x damage.
Note:
- If granted Ambush, Units with Recharge will recharge in round 0 and attack in round 1.

Synergies / strategy
Abilities benefits
Protect - Give your recharge unit more armor so it has more time to recharge and is alive to do its devastating damage.
Tank Heal/ Triage - depending on where your unit is placed use heal to keep it alive while its recharging.
Ruleset benefits
Back to Basics - I love this ablity with the back to basic because it removes the every other round just attack every round is with some unit very valuable like:
Select / favorite
Mine recharge units:
Not that many as i expected. it also not one of my favorite abilities to play except this one and see my stats on which unit it is:
The reason should be clear when you see this unit. High health with tank heal its often in the front taking some its almost not possible to kill.
Here are my detail stats about this unit:
Lets have a look where recharge unit shines.
Strategy
High mana battle is a perfect opportunity to play Uriel the Purifier

The Lineup
Summoner
Card | Reason |

I still play her the most often of all summoners, already 5000+ battles with lux WoW all extra health and speed will be welcome in this match |
Units Lineup
#1 | #2 | #3 | #4 | #5 | #6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Uriel the Purifier (lvl 4)
Start of this match and will be dealing a lot of damage every other turn. It heal itself so expect that it can withstand in the front. This unit is subjectable for giant killer (+10 mana unit) so watch out for them.
Gobson Bomber (lvl 10)
My second recharge unit is also very important in this match because of the piercing. I have build amount these two units my team.
Adelade Brightwing (lvl 4)
I one of my giants are kille this unit will give them 1 more extra change (at least for one unit)
Spirit Hoarder (lvl 4)
To keep my backline alive heal it with triage 1.
Djinn Renova (lvl 6)
Here the secodn triage to heal again my back line which will attract all attention because of the taunt.
Coeurl Lurker (lvl 2)
This unit cannot attack but with the dodge phase i hope many misses so my front unit can take out the enemy one by one.

Rounds
Start :
Lets analyze the lineup. My opponent also has chosen some similar units with two recharge units. But his idea is to let Iziar be killed twice so it even more buff his team with extra damage output.
Both teams have a lot of health going trough so it might be a lengthy battle.
Round 1:
First round all units are recharging and not much happening on the battlefield. On both side the healer are doing their jobs.
Round 2:
Wow forgot about the Fury of Gobson Bomber doing 18 damage in one turn wow taking out Iziar in one blow, might go quicker than i expected. His Iziar has buffed their team once now and is healed back up.
Th balance is still the same even tough i killed one of its units .
Round 3:
Quick round where 4 units are recharging for the next attack. His Iziar is already back to 13 health.
Round 4:
No a miss by the Gobson Bomber that is massive it need to wait another round before he can try again.
Luckily hist Gobson Bomber also missed 🤣.
Both Uriel the Purifier doing 12 damage just against the armor 🙃, they will have there shot one day.
Round 5:
Short round again unit are recharging. My Coeurl Lurker has lost some significant health by now.
Round 6:
Bam instant kill again of its Iziar with a 18 damage of my Gobson Bomber. And 12 damage of my Uriel the Purifier into 1 armor 🙃. Here you see the importance of the piercing of the Gobson Bomber.
Now his Djinn Renova and Spirit Hoarder are doing respectively 6 and 4 damage that might be come a problem but it think i will have enough stopping power in the front. And my Spitir Hoarder will also dispel the gain boosts when they are in the front.
Round 7:
Another recharge round and as you can see they are still misses on my Coeurl Lurker.
Round 8:
9 damage for my Gobson Bomber killing my opponents Uriel the Purifier giving me even more advantage in the match.
Round 9:
Another recharge round. My Spirit Hoarder has dispelled my opponents Djinn Renova. now just one or two more rounds to finish of the rest.
Round 10:
Now his Gobson Bomber did a instant kill on my Coeurl Lurker, finally it did not miss but way to late in the match.
Round 11:
Victory, almost my entire team is still standing and look at the health of my Uriel the Purifier still full that is how great this unit can be in battle. With the proper support of course.
Conclusion
In this match my Uriel the Purifier did not land many heavy shots still it present a great benefit with its self heal and the health it got.
The recharge heavy bombs where this time coming from the Gobson Bomber another recharge unit that deserve moment to shine. Note that the Gobson Bomber is my second favorite recharge unit see its stats:

Thanks and your welcome hope you enjoyed reading it👍
Amazing battle will only destroy a single monster, that card Uriel the Purifier has great characteristics for that amount of mana.
yeah love that card, Do you have a favorite card?
It depends on the splinter that can be used in battle, but there is one that I do like called Djinn Oshannus
Yeah there are many favorites, Djinn Oshannus is one them definitely 👍
