Prologue
2024 has been quite the year for me, getting into the ring again. Battling was certainly a lot of fun, and I learned a lot of new strategies and improved my overall performance. Please click here for a review of 2024 Battles
But also my understanding of the whole Splinterlandas-Ecosystem has improved, thanks to many very patient members who explained me all the small and big things - after a 2 year break, everything was so different. With that in mind, I can now set my goals for 2025 quite nicely.
Goal 1 - Collection!
Reward cards
I came far this year. Before the change of reward cards (boy, do I regrett not having started again earlier to get all the amazing Chaos Legion reward cards!), I was able to get most of the CL ones to Silver level - not great, but something. For the Rebellion Reward Cards, I'm striding forward quite quickly and am happy with that.
Commons - Max is the Goal!
Except for the Halarian Huntress, I got all my commons to level 8! I still need 190 BCX for the max Level Huntress. Best one is the Mar Toren Trader with only 140 BCX missing. In total, I need 1952 BCX - equivalent to almost 300k Glint, spread over 5 seasons.
Rares - Max is the Goal!
I did not get as far on rares. Still, half on level 6 and half on 5 is quite nice. Best is the Chaos Adjutant with only 35 BCX missing, worst the Megalodon and the Leggionary with 63 BCX missing. I need 630 BCX in total, or around 475k Glint, spread over 6 seasons. That is with a lot of luck, of course.
Epics - Level 5 is the Goal!
Epics were a bit harder. I reached my goal of getting all the Silver League level (3), but that's about it since I focussed on the Rares and Commons and will continue to do so. Best is the Arachne Weaver with only 22 BCX missing to max level, and worst the Kha'zi Conjurer with 35 BCX missing. To get all to max level, I would need 195 BCX / 1,500,000 Glint / 8 seasons - that's a little far fetched. So I settle my goal for level 5, which means 100 BCX and "only" 750k Glint/ 4 seasons.
Legendary - Level 1?
I haven't bought any draws for legendary, but was lucky once with a reward chest. I'm pretty sure I can reach my other Reward-Card-Goals by June, and then I'll have to decide. Would be nice to be able to get all the legendaries at level one, but we'll see.
Wild Collection
There are some cards that I really want to own. Mantaroth and Tofu for example, and Lorkus from the Rebellion Set. From Untamed I'd really like to own Yodin, Llama and Kitty. It'll take some time to save up the money for that, so the other idea is to just find good strategies gainst them.
There are still a few cards from Chaos League that I want to max out as well, in order to compete better in the Wild League.
And of Course - the new set! I'm really looking forward to that one. I'll probably not jump in right away, but wait for a little and see how they play out, which cards are needed and do my wonderful Excel calculations before I start buying.
SPS and HIVE
This year, I reached my SPS goal of 100k and did not buy any more recently, so I'm around 104k. I'm not sure if I will buy more or just let it be, but it would be awesome to get to 120k just with battles (Tournaments, Brawls, Ranked) and interests.
Right now, I'm collecting HIVE token in order to do buy an XBot for Wild, that will take a little time - so that is one goal. The other is to keep blogging and posting and reach 500 HP and 100 HBD by the end of the year. That should be possible - we'll see!
Conclusion
There's a lot to do in 2025! I hope I can manage that all between the other responsabilites with work, family, life in general - but I'm looking forward to it. I wish you all a very happy 2025!
