Status Quo
Hello everyone! The Season has ended, so has January, and it was quite the thing! I ended the Season with a wooping 160k Glint EOS-Reward (again!), plus 150k that I had saved up - 10k more than last season, probably due to me staking some more SPS.
To buy all I want at once, I need 187,500 (Epics) + 75,000 (Rare) + 60,000 (Common) + 2000 (Merits) Glint - so I'm around 15k short of my goal.
Let's look at where it got me!
Commons
I did not buy all of the commons just yet, for one, I'm waiting for my daughter to help me with that. Then, I don't have all the Glint yet, so i left some cards open. but purchasing 300 BCX is something - still, it feels very far away from maxed cards.
All the lagging cards were upgraded to level 9, which is something good - even the Huntress! She's still the one that is missing the biggest amount of BCX, though. Still, progress is progress. The next upgrade takes 100 BCX on top of the 300 BCX they already have - and the closest one is the Trader, "only" 24 BCX away from that goal.
Total BCX missing for max: 730 BCX (around 2 seasons away)
Take into account that I can and will still buy another 100 BCX in this season - so, looking at that, it does not feel that far away anymore 🥳
Rare
Okay, a little frustrating here - I got up to 1 BCX to max out my Chaos Adjutant - and chance wanted that BCX to be a Gold Foil. Like, seriously? Why, universe, why? I really wanted my first maxed Reward card... Well, next season.
I got 6 copies of the Megalodon, which is the most lagging card in my Rare-Reward-Set - that's good! It's still far behind. I upgraded Razorhound, Slinger, Forager and Janni Rebell. Next in line are the Continuum Seer and the Adjutant, both with 1 BCX missing (fun fact - I also pulled a BCX of the Seer as GF).
The bet still is intact, due to that beautiful, wonderful, o so awesome Adjutant GF. 🤬
Worst card: Megalodon (10 BCX to next level)
Bet: The Adjutant will be Max level before the Megalodon gets to level 7.
BCX to level 7: 27
BCX to max: 311 - that's around 4 seasons
EPIIIIIIICS!
Epics actually weren't that frustrating in this round, not as much as last round. Well, a little bit. I'm missing 1 BCX on two cards, Thanalorian Blade and Olivia, in order to upgrade them. Next season!
My bet is still on - I think the Weaver will hit max before the Conjurer hits level 5 😜
This time, the draws are actually very equal - except for the Night Reaper, that one came up 6 times. The rest all 3 times, and the shock trooper 4 times with one being a GF. That meant, I was able to upgrade three cards - Shock Trooper, Halfling (woohooo) and Night Reaper (double-woohooo).
The Reaper now has 4 Magic damage, plus the extra 2 Wingbreak. That's awesome!
The Halfling got another attack point as well, AND another LP, making its heal more effective.
Shock Trooper now has 5 Magic damage, making it even stronger. The more it grows, the more I think this card is a geniously balanced one.
Worst card: Conjurer (9 BCX to next level)
Bet: The Weaver will be Max-Level before the Conjurer gets to level 5.
BCX to level 5: 11
BCX to max: 96 (around 4 seasons)
Conclusion
Only 2 seasons away from (hopefully) finishing Commons and Epics! Rares are still lagging, but maybe I get lucky in reward chests. Wouldn't mind that at all.
The GF-Incidents were really annoying this time, which is weird to say, since usually one loves to get those - but they're of no use to me just yet (but probably will be in the future).
Still, I love this EOS-Reward thing. That bi-weekly-kick if opening packs and the emotions (positive and negative) are what is special to a game, and Splinterlands plays that very well.
