Hey everyone! It's been a while since I postet my last battle analysis, but I just had an amazing battle using Max Pruitt.
At the end of the Max-Pruitt-Part of the conflict I got super lucky and obtained one copy with only 0,28% to get one. Since then, I enjoyed him in a wide range of rulesets - he's actually quite versatile and I love playing both water as well as light splinter, so he's a good addition in Novice and Bronze Tournaments.
The Battle rules were: Novice League Modern, Armored Up (+2 Armor), +1 Gladiator and Rise of the commons, and that with 40 Mana.
The main combination on my side was to give the Relevor Cleaver Armor Strike and Piercing, flanked by double-repair and protected by one of my favorite tanks, Commander Slate.
The opponent went for Thaddius Brood and quite a diverse attack line, with only the Windeku as thorny tank. Not the worst line-up I've seen, but you'll just notice the biggest damage-combo there is.
As you can see, the cleaver got a total of 10 armor. The +1 melee damage was taken away by the Dark Arborist (as well one of my favorites from the reward cards), so only 4 melee damage. BUT 10 Damage Armor-Strike? You'll see...
First, my tank gets beaten up pretty badly by all the opponents attacks, plus the throns from the Windeku. But that doesn't really matter. The Cleaver takes the Windeku out in 1 (!) armor strike, and beats the Dark Arborist down to 1 (!) LP. Pretty decent.
In Round 2, my tank takes out the Arborist before himself being taken out by the Helheim Demon - and now comes the Cleaver-Show. With two attacks he takes out both the witch as well as the Broken Earth Thug, gaining +2 on all stats. And then his armor gets repaired.
The Cleaver now does a total damage of 20 - 12 armor strike, 8 melee. And that is piercing. Not the slightest chance for the opponent's monsters.
So far, I hope you enjoyed this battle as much as I :-) Feel free to post your own epic battles in the comments, or your own posts for me to stop by and review. Thank you for reading!
