For the longest time, I kept finishing seasons in the 3,700s, just short of breaking into that elite 4k club. But this time, I pushed through, and I owe a big part of my success to one key upgrade… Olivia. 💚 After putting in the work, I finally maxed her out, and wow, what a difference! She has single-handedly boosted my performance, giving me the extra edge I needed to break through my previous limits. I shared some great battles also in my previous post
Reaching this level isn't easy. I constantly face opponents with much more Collection Power than me, but strategy and counterplay are my weapons. I love predicting my opponent’s moves and setting up the perfect counter. That’s how I hold my ground in these battles, and today, I’m bringing you the analysis of three epic fights that pushed me back into the world’s top 100. Let’s dive in! 🔥
🥇 Battle #1: Facing Shadecroat (5,000+ Trophies!)
Ruleset: 56 Mana | No Magic | Earthquake | Scattershot
Shadecroat is an absolute beast, sitting at over 5,000 trophies, and I knew this fight was going to be brutal. He ran Risqruel Drath in order to avoid sustained Earthquake damage thanks to flying ability given to all his units and an insanely strong lineup featuring Delya (2 attacks of 5 damage per round!), one of the best cards in the game right now. A tough challenge, but I had a plan.
I deployed Possibilus as my summoner and Arkemis Mantaroth in the front for that sheer tankiness. Then, I set up my secret tech:
- Venari Marksrat – Mastering Venari Marksrat is a topic worthy of its own post. In Earthquake matches, he is incredibly valuable, as he brings down any flying unit he hits. Additionally, when he falls, he triggers Martyr, further boosting nearby allies. Placing him close to Mantaroth has significantly enhanced my team's sustainability, making him a key asset in my strategy.
- Swamp Spitter – Those armor repairs? Lifesavers. My colleague @bravetofu Tiered him A in his previous post but I think he deserves a bit love!
- Supply Runner – Extra speed and Strengthen are ALWAYS appreciated. Supply Runner is a no brainer move!
- Endura – Shout out to her. I've had a lot of success taking her into the battlefield, nerfing those Risqruel +1 Ranged!
With this setup in battle, I outplayed Shadecroat’s heavy hitters and secured a well-earned victory! 💪 This kind of lineup with Arkemis / Mantaroth has brought tons of SPS home #play2earn
🍀 Battle #2: A Mix of Luck & Smart Decisions vs. Tarazkp (4,400s)
Ruleset: 42 Mana | Gladius Allowed
Earth Gladius decks are monsters in the current meta, and I knew my opponent would probably bring Tofu and Quora. I needed something that could handle this, and there was one card that could do the job:
🔥 Djinn Muirat 🔥
He held the line like Hodor in GoT, absorbing insane damage while synergizing perfectly with Astral Entity, he also blocked Venka, otherwise my whole army would have been engulfed. Also, his Giant Killer took quora down in first down!! Meanwhile, Nalara in second position did an outstanding nefing magic and crowd controlling by stun.
To counter possible threats, I added:
✔ Runecrafter – Perfect against Mycellics.
✔ Dumacke in the back – Just in case Katrelba showed up, as not probably, my army would be vulnerable to her.
It was a close one fight, but my counter-strategy paid off, and I walked away with another huge win! 🎯
🎯 Battle #3: The Final Step to 4,000 Trophies!
Ruleset: 26 Mana | Reflection Shield | Born Again | Sniping
This was the battle that finally pushed me to 4,000 trophies, and man, I enjoyed every second of it. I needed a solid, balanced lineup to handle the restrictions - 26 Mana, reflection shield and snipping, so I built my team around Astral Entity and so my opponent did:
- Windeku in the front – A classic, reliable tank. Slow to hit first and auto-heal.
- Sneak & Opportunity squad: Uraeus, Grifzi, and Earth Thug – These guys hunted down my opponent’s backline like predators.
- Venari Marksrat (second position) – Boosting Windeku’s survivability, and tanking all magics and rangeds. Potentially resurrected twice (one per ruleset and another per summoner)
- Ravenhood – Extra melee boost to ensure maximum damage output.
This is the classical example where your focus damage (all back) brings you to victory and finally hit 4,000 trophies once again! 🎊💪
Arachne Weaver to 5!!
Finally And thanks to my perseverance, I've brought my Arachne Weaver to 5 getting 2 more health (as we've seen in Possibilus battle, health also means a lot and may be an undervalued buff). Now, on my way to 6!!
🔥 Final Thoughts: Counterplay is Everything
Sitting in this elo is no joke. I face massive Collection Power disparities, but Splinterlands is a game of strategy. If you can predict what your opponent will do, you can always find a way to counter it.

Alcanzar este nivel no es fácil. Constantemente me enfrento a oponentes con mucho más Poder de Colección que yo, pero la estrategia y el counterplay son mis mejores armas. Me encanta predecir los movimientos de mis rivales y preparar el contraataque perfecto. Así es como me mantengo firme en estas batallas, y hoy les traigo el análisis de tres combates épicos que me han devuelto al top 100 mundial. ¡Vamos allá! 🔥
🥇 Batalla #1: Enfrentando a Shadecroat (¡5,000+ Trofeos!)
Reglas: 56 de Maná | Sin Magia | Terremoto | Dispersión
Shadecroat es una auténtica bestia, con más de 5,000 trofeos, y sabía que esta pelea iba a ser brutal. Usó Risqruel Drath para evitar el daño constante del Terremoto, ya que otorga Volador a todas sus unidades, además de un equipo increíblemente fuerte con Delya (¡dos ataques de 5 de daño por ronda!), una de las mejores cartas del juego en este momento. Un desafío difícil, pero tenía un plan.
Elegí a Possibilus como mi invocador y coloqué a Arkemis Mantaroth en la primera línea para aprovechar su resistencia. Luego, preparé mi táctica secreta:
Venari Marksrat – Dominar a Venari Marksrat merece un post por sí solo. En partidas con Terremoto, es increíblemente valioso, ya que derriba a cualquier unidad Voladora que golpea. Además, cuando cae, activa Mártir, potenciando aún más a los aliados cercanos. Colocarlo cerca de Mantaroth ha mejorado significativamente la sostenibilidad de mi equipo, convirtiéndolo en una pieza clave en mi estrategia.
Swamp Spitter – ¿Esas reparaciones de armadura? Salvan vidas. Mi colega @bravetofu lo clasificó en Tier A en su post anterior, pero creo que merece aún más reconocimiento. ¡Es un monstruo en el campo de batalla!
Supply Runner – Velocidad extra y Fortalecer siempre son bienvenidos. Supply Runner es una jugada segura en casi cualquier equipo, ¡un pick que nunca falla!
Endura – ¡Mención especial para ella! Me ha dado excelentes resultados en combate, debilitando esas molestas formaciones de Risqruel +1 Ranged y cambiando el curso de varias batallas a mi favor.

🍀 Batalla #2: Una Mezcla de Suerte y Decisiones Inteligentes vs. Tarazkp (4,400s)
Reglas: 42 de Maná | Gladius Permitido
Los mazos Gladius de Tierra son auténticos monstruos en el meta actual, y sabía que mi oponente probablemente usaría Tofu y Quora. Necesitaba algo que pudiera hacerles frente, y había una carta perfecta para el trabajo:

Se mantuvo firme como Hodor en GoT, absorbiendo un daño brutal mientras sinergizaba perfectamente con Astral Entity. Además, bloqueó a Venka, evitando que mi ejército fuera completamente aniquilado. Y lo mejor… ¡su Giant Killer acabó con Quora en el primer asalto! 💀🔥
Mientras tanto, Nalara, en la segunda posición, hizo un trabajo excepcional debilitando la magia y controlando el campo con aturdimientos.
Para contrarrestar posibles amenazas, añadí:
✔ Runecrafter – Perfecto contra los Mycellics.
✔ Dumacke en la retaguardia – Por si Katrelba aparecía; aunque no era lo más probable, si lo hacía, mi ejército sería vulnerable a su ataque.
Fue una batalla muy ajustada , but my counter-strategy paid off, and I walked away with another huge win! 🎯
🎯 Batalla #3: ¡El Paso Final hacia los 4,000 Trofeos!
Reglas: 26 de Maná | Escudo Reflectante | Renacer | Francotirador
Esta fue la batalla que finalmente me llevó a los 4,000 trofeos, y debo decir que disfruté cada segundo. Necesitaba una alineación sólida y equilibrada para manejar las restricciones: 26 de Maná, Escudo Reflectante y Francotirador, así que construí mi equipo alrededor de Astral Entity, y resulta que mi oponente hizo lo mismo:
- Windeku en la primera línea – Un tanque clásico y confiable. Su baja velocidad le permite golpear primero y se cura automáticamente.
- Escuadrón de Sigilo y Oportunidad: Uraeus, Grifzi y Earth Thug – Estos guerreros cazaron la retaguardia de mi oponente como verdaderos depredadores.
- Venari Marksrat (segunda posición) – Aumenta la supervivencia de Windeku, absorbe daño mágico y a distancia, y puede resucitar hasta dos veces (una por las reglas y otra por el invocador).
- Ravenhood – Impulso extra al daño cuerpo a cuerpo para maximizar la ofensiva.
Este es el clásico ejemplo donde tu daño focalizado (todo dirigido a la retaguardia) te lleva a la victoria y, finalmente, ¡alcanzas nuevamente los 4,000 trofeos! 🎊💪
¡Arachne Weaver al nivel 5!
Finalmente, y gracias a mi perseverancia, he llevado a Arachne Weaver al nivel 5, ganando 2 puntos más de vida (como vimos en la batalla con Possibilus, la vida es un recurso crucial y muchas veces un buff infravalorado).
¡Ahora, en camino al nivel 6! 🚀
🔥 Reflexión Final: El Counterplay lo es Todo
Mantenerse en este elo no es ninguna broma. Me enfrento a grandes diferencias en Poder de Colección, pero Splinterlands es un juego de estrategia. Si puedes predecir lo que hará tu oponente, siempre hay una forma de contrarrestarlo.
