My Runi chronicles - Chapter IV

One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I will share my plans on how I will keep investing in #Splinterlands on my road to building a top Diamond deck and I will also share an Epic battle where my Runi performed an astonishing performance. Budget Management Update

I consider myself a medium investor player in Splinterlands. Not all my acquisitions have gone as I would have liked but I have learned a lot doing them. I had previous top 2 investments with Lux and Nodes. Being my Runi 3rd. We have been warned again and again of the great plans that the Splinterlands Executive Team had for Runi. When I spent 500$ on my Runi, I thought it was too much money. I was also a little bit disappointed related to his image and cosmetics. I did understand nothing about the project. Then, one day, land 1.5 whitepaper releases and you read this:

So my little dude will boost my PP with a gorgeous 100%, will work as an extra worker, there won't be any need for Power Source or DEC and he will be able to be played at the same time as he produces. So far so clear. And then prices are updated consequently in the market, and you see your 500$ humble Runi worth 1k$ in Opensea. And this is just the beginning:

With that changes, all the effort that you made purchasing your original Runi, makes sense and for the first time in #Splinterlands, I've got the feeling of being at the beginning of something. We'll see.

One thing that has changed completely my mentality is leaving rentals apart and becoming a deck owner. This process has taken me a lot of time and decisions. Decided to build a Max Chaos Legion Deck, strong in Water, and Dragon with some Life and Death. For summoners, I just own Quix and Lux. My next steps in summoners are Kelya (Lux in Little League, Thaddius, and Sloan). I will need to get 1k from here, and I share with you my next shopping list:

I love Tower Defense games and I do trust in the Splinterlands Executive team. On the other side, other points got a budget of 500$ and 1000$ and I will 'only' go in with 100/200$ when the game goes live. I will be expected all the great content creators to adjust the final amount.

Although Vruz has not turned in the Bread and Butter I like to play, he has his special space in my deck. Vruz works fantastic with Camouflage units, being placed in the 5th position, taunting himself with sneakers, and boosting 4th and 6th when dies. That's why I will be in with Doctor Blight. The next promo card will be revealed soon, and the Team has told that will bring an enormous change in the game mechanics. Can't wait! I will get my Vouchers and Dec ready!

Finally and thanks to my 2 Nodes (my silent workers), I've managed to get almost 250KDECB ready for everything that comes with swapping Vouchers.

Runi Epic performance in Champion tier

As I usually say, I prefer the tactical part of the game. And related to this aspect I bring an Epic performance of my Runi (another one!). This one was a 44 Thorns, Explosive Weaponry, and Return Fire ruleset (One of Runis' favorite ones). The board looked as follows, where both players chose a similar setup to adapt to battle requirements:

• Baakjira was one of the first Chaos Legion Airdrops. The more we advance in the seasons, the more I use her. Not only for her enormous Health and her natural survivability and Magic resistance but also her +1 Health and her slow turns her into a reliable choice.
• We will remember when times of Chaos Legion we were rewarded with cards like Tide Biter with such great utility. Reflecting shield and True Strike transforms him into an excellent off-tank
• I doubted between Angelic Mandarin and River Nymph. I finally chose the second because of 2 reflecting damage ruleset and the +1 Speed. This +1 speed made my Runi attack first then my opponent and turned the key to victory.
• Finally, I leave you the whole performance of my Runi. So happy this NFT will help me in the Arena while boosting my land production!

Time to plan my entry on lands. I've received the incredible help of my friend @emakulator that has guided me in some decisions. This community is wonderful and surprises me again and again with how generous it in terms of knowledge and time are with its members. Thanks to Splinterlands I can speak with people all around the world about a game that is passionate about every one of us. I will buy 1 magical common plot and 3 or 4 common plots. All of them are in the same region to avoid transport fees. I don't think I can fill all the plots with enough production points, but there are the Reward cards that I am achieving while playing in Champion. I've opened a couple of legendary foils and I expect more from the future. I want to be ready for the beginning of the Research of the Secrets of Praetoria event, which will be launched by the end of June / July.
