One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I bring the last brawl report from my guild, THGaming Brawlers (this time we had a tough one with not our best mark) and I also share the result of our other 2 most competitive guilds, THgaming 1 and 2. I will also bring an in-depth analysis of one of the best mid-mana rangeds in the game: Ajax Lightfoot and finally I will share my tactical board in a brawl battle. Hope you like it!
THGaming brawl reports
The Executive team has announced great updates related to guilds, as they will play an important role in Splinterlands ecosystem. We've recently updated the Quest Lodge to level 6 which means a 4% discount in the shop and a 7% boost in reward points and SPS won per ranked battle. We are in tier 3 and we hope to jump to 4 in the next weeks. We would like to find involved players willing to play top-tier Frays, who rarely miss a Brawl eager to grow with our community.
We get an average of 40 SPS and +2kMerits per brawl (this means a Gladius case). So, if you think you could help us to become a more competitive guild, please contact us - either comment on the post:
Our other two Guilds (THGaming1 and THGaming2) are in the recruitment period as well and looking for Splinterlands players that want to join our great community and Brawl but don't have Tier 3 level decks.
Referred to our guilds, we got those results:
- THGaming Brawlers (Tier 3) - 5th place. The guild has won the spoils of 47 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 2,350 Merits and 32.287 staked SPS.
- THGaming 1 (Tier 1) - 6th place - The guild has won spoils of 9 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 485 Merits and 7.977 staked SPS.
- THGaming 2 (Tier 1)- 5th place The guild has won spoils of 15 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 692 Merits and 10.918 staked SPS.
Even though they were our best marks, every little SPS is a little help towards every player stacking objectives. Transformed into $ those humble 32 SPS are around 0,7$. Just for playing a wonderful game like splinterlands. One day we will take a look into these days and regret not stacking more and more SPS.
Guessing the cards that will dominate the game
With all Soulbound rewards that all active Splinterlands players are receiving (Chaos Legion and Gladius), combat alternatives have increased enormously. Three rulesets, Free summoners that can bring a Gladius card or Conscript ruleset has boosted the options that every one of us has got when facing a battle. In this direction, players who work seriously on enlarging and complementing their roster will be the ones with more Winrate, and these in Splinterlands mean more earnings. We've got an interesting opportunity for the Life Summoner, his name is Ajax LightFoot. :
The more I take a look into Ajax's max-level toolkit the more I like it. 7 Speed is not a joke for a creature, as he is one of the fastest of the current meta, 4 ranged hurts but then comes Phase and Dodge. Hitting him will be a serious headache for the opponent. I imagine which rulesets could be suitable for him and Target Practice would be one of them. He could be placed second, focusing all Magic and ranged and evading and evading while hitting relentlessly the enemy.
Ajax can attract properly the attacks of Sneak attacks if played last, he will evade a lot even versus Pelacor mercenary. He can also taunt Opportunity attacks if he is the lowest creature on board (6 health is not that much on high mana battles). Overall, can play a hybrid role as a ranged DPS while distracting and evading enemy attacks.
Close range for ranged and low mana? Go for Ajax. He will become an authentic Nightmare for their enemies. He will begin covering ranged positions and if necessary, will play a tank role while dealing 4 damage per turn. Not bad for a range.
So we've seen Ajax is another interesting option from the Life Summoner that properly played can bring your team to victory!
Show me the battles! - a master class in gold foil fray
I usually take tier 12 on my guild brawls. These are wild max-level regular foil tiers. In my experience fighting this tier, if you build a strong Chaos Legion army, you can face most of the wild armies. This is an example: I faced a 21 Mana, no Legendaries, Rebirth, and Cripple, and the board looked as follows:
- Both players chose a cheap mana tank. Chaos Agent vs Kelp Initiate. Although both are fantastic options, the Agent made a fantastic job evading and returning part of the incoming attacks when missed.
- Protect has turned into a fantastic ability for rebirth units it triggers twice. Venari Wavesmith is such a cheap unit with that ability. Also, the 3 Magical damage is an important aspect to take into account.
- For my main source of damage I made a build-up formed by Oswald, Vruz, and Pelacor, and covering my backline I placed my beloved Naga Assassin. Such a great point for my team! battle Superb point to Brawlers!
