Descent from Above
The Pelacor Conjurer is one of the latest life Splinter cards to be released with current reward cards. At a first glance you may be put off by its lack of damage and abilities. Even at his most basic level, two mana for 4 health and a reasonable chance to dodge an attack isn’t shabby and it only gets better as he gains levels.
The Pelacor Conjurer gains upto 4 abilities at max level and double his starting health. The four abilities he gains are:
One of the most influential being “Magic Reflect” as it gives him a slight bit of offensive potential and additional team value. His other abilities, along with his speed, make him quite the slippy target to hit and even if they do the first one is blocked. His health and speed make him an excellcent front line tank for those low mana cost rounds. Or he can be placed at the rear to protect from the pesky sneak monsters, at their base levels a Sandworm has a 45% chance to miss an attack.
Existing Similarities
The Pelacor Conjurer strongly reminds me of two cards; Failed Summoner and Kelp Ininate. All three cards fill similar roles for their respective Splinter at a basic level, but begin to divate once leveled up as abilities define the card.
Although the cards do have their differences, I believe it is a fair assessment to say the Pelacor Conjurer fill follow a similar trend as them in regards to usage. Kelp Ininate was a card most people seemed to overlook and then suddenly it became the most expensive modern rare reward card (At the time of this post). While this is unlikely to happen to the Pelacor Conjurer anytime soon, who knows what the future holds for this cool guy.
Great article. 2 mana cards ftw! #splintertalk #Splinterlands @splintertalk #play2earn
Interesting to point out those similarities, both of those other cards are now ESSENTIAL I would say!
