For this week's @splinterlands art challenge, I'm focusing on Delya, one of the new promo cards coming out tomorrow which I am very much looking forward to buying! For this post, I'm showing her in situations where the card is useful in the game :) Let's get into it.
The images in this post were created with the help of AI. I used ChatGPT for this one, and provided it with the original art as the reference image. I gave it instructions to make the images more photorealistic or stylized based on the image, and gave it follow-up instructions to get each scene the way I wanted.
Delya
Delya is a 9-mana neutral legendary card who sports 4 ranged attack, 5 speed, 6 health, Double Strike, Dodge, Reflection Shield, and Backfire.
Countering Djinn Oshannus
Her 4 ranged damage is perfect to counter Djinn Oshannus's Forcefield. Double Strike means a high chance of dealing a full 8 damage, severely hindering a card that's currently in the meta.
Dodging Sneak Attackers
Delya's high speed and dodge means she's a great back line "tank", able to not only dodge sneak attackers but even strike back with her backfire.
Paired with Nidhoggr
Delya's Double Strike, paired with Blast from Nidhoggr, will make her absolutely deadly. 4 damage will cause 2 blast damage twice.
Paired with Drath
Delya will pair nicely with Drath, who will give her an additional +1 damage for a total of 5 ranged damage dealth twice. Giving her True Strike will guarantee those hits as well.
Reflection Shield
Delya's Reflection Shield means she needn't worry about her arrows getting flung back at her.
Paired with Tofu
I wager Delya will also pair well with Tofu, not because of a particular synergy but mainly as a go-to for Tofu-to-Tofu mirror matches where ranged is typically not something the opponent guards for.
What do you think of Delya? Will you be buying some of the promo cards tomorrow?

These images are rad man - particularly that Oshannus showdown. Nicely pulled together, BT!
Yeah I was really happy with how that one turned out :) Still a lot of trial & error, but the result you can get with these AI images doesn't cease to amaze me.
Thanks for dropping by!
