This is the fifth edition of my "Splinterlands KPIs" series, for the period of 10/6/2024 to 10/13/2024, where I track several metrics I find important on a weekly basis to see how our beloved game & economy are developing.
For most KPIs, I put a quick visual indicator as follows:
🟢 Good progress
🔴 Bad progress
🟡 Middling
When deltas are shown, they indicate the week-over-week progress.
DISCLAIMER: Please note that I am not affiliated to the Splinterlands company, so these are just my own opinions on KPIs I feel are important and based on data I can find publicly.

We saw a rebound in BTC this week, and to some extent SPS followed suit, though a bit less than some other cryptos as it kept its relative rank on CMC.
DEC demand increased due to the new promos going live, pushing DEC price up. It also was probably the cause of the increase in SPS burns for the week, which came in at 266k, the first week >200k since I've been tracking these metrics.
Market activity also picked back up, averaging over $10k/day.
Overall a good week with steady progress on game economy metrics.

Rebellion sales dropped significantly this week, but it's not a big surprise given that 110M (!) DEC was spent on the new promo cards within just days of them going live. The latter is a very good sign for the promo sales, who should comfortably reach 240M before the end of phase 2.

Daily active accounts dropped 7.8%, but battles increased slightly, potentially as people attempt to get more battles in before the end of the season to get through energy from chests or jockey for leaderboard positions.

Although daily signups and spellbooks continued to struggle, I do find it relatively comforting to see we continue to get almost 100 new signups each day and a few spellbook purchases. All it takes is for a handful of these guys to be whales or to bring in groups of friends for us to start getting more traction. However, it's still peanuts and the marketing machine clearly still hasn't begun.

Discord followers continued to drop slightly, while Twitter followers increased slightly. Not much to say here. Wonder if there are better metrics to track when it comes to Community engagement. Thoughts?
