Going to be discussing a what our expectations at end of season should be, instead of often what they are for many players.
Current misconceptions/expectations
Many players don't realize what the actual chances of each reward are for their current level. The breakdown of the odds can be found in simple terms below
This along with an even more in-depth breakdown of the odds of receiving each card type (common - gold foil legendary) can be found on Splintercards which I find to be an extremely helpful all things splinterlands website!
This misunderstanding of the actual odds leads low level players to expect to be getting Gold Foil Epics and Legendaries since they see some of the top players posting and emphasizing their pulls.
The issue with this is people often post about the good
and not the hundreds of rewards where they get nothing.
The reality of this expectation is hope.
Why Hope?
Well hope is the moment where you know it is unlikely but you choose to wish and appreciate the journey, it is the battle that never ends even after you achieve your first goal.
This sums up what the reality of end of season splinterlands is. You work hard and hope that you will get something special and whether you do or don't it makes you want to work even harder the next season to give yourself a better chance!
My Rewards
I was really happy with my rewards this season even though the best I got was a rare normal card. I was impressed by how many cards I got even though I know that in silver III I had a 50% chance per chest to get a card.
Being grateful for each splinterlands moment is so important!
I am so lucky to be a part of such an awesome community and I look forward to growing with the community in the future.
