So yesterday I was playing Splinterlands like normal. I usually play once every hour, to maximize DEC rewards. However, I need sleep, so I usually play about 10 matches before bed. This is often when I will do my daily challenges, so nothing new.
I finished my challenge (5 wins with Earth) last night, and was a few wins away from the next reward tier, so I decided not to open until I got promoted.
So today about 10 minutes before I had to leave for work, I got into the next tier, and was like "Cool, let me open the reward chests now."
Having been in gold III, I had 6 chests. I opened the first 3 pretty quickly and was like "Eh, what did I expect?"
Then, I clicked the 4th one. It took a bit longer to open, so I clicked the next one while waiting. I knew the long opening meant a legendary card, and I was like "Yeet." I opened the final chest while it was revealing the legendary. However, after it flipped, I heard the Gold Foil noise, and the card changed to a Gold Foil Version. I was like "Yeeeeet!" It was the first thing that popped in my head.
So now I have my first Gold Foil Legendary. The spirit miner. I don't know what I'll do with it. Maybe use it, maybe sell it. I'll see.
