Welcome to Part 6 of my Silver Dollar Challenge! For those who missed the intro to this series, this is a challenge where I've given myself a $1 budget to rent a deck for each faction for the entire month. Each day I'll publish a new splinter leading up to the livestream at 2:30 eastern on Saturday where I'll participate in a Silver tournament to test out my decks (and give away prizes to those who come)! The official Splinterlands account has even tweeted out that they will be there giving out additional prizes!
Today it is time for the Dragon splinter! I have almost no experience with Dragons since there are no Dragon monsters in the starter set. This splinter looks extremely powerful though, and the prices seemed to reflect that. I once again exhausted my entire budget here, using a full $1 to get these cards for the month:
Red Dragon - 31 cents
Byzantine Kitty - 30 cents
Lightning Dragon - 12 cents
Black Dragon - 12 cents
Dragon Jumper - 6 cents
Diamond Dragon - 3 cents
Serpentine Mystic - 3 cents
The Vigilator - 3 cents
While this splinter certainly appears powerful, I quickly noticed that a large chunk of them are legendaries that gain several abilities past level 1. There was virtually no summoner available at my budget that would allow me to play anything other than a level 1 legendary monster though. Most of these cards are high mana, so I don't really see myself going the Dragon route too often. I think I will love them in those 99 mana battles though!
