Non Players Buying Up Cards?

in Splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

We all know that on the day SPS launched cetain cards started going parabolic in price. The funny thing is, I have noticed that the cards being bought up the most were not based on their quality in game play, but on their low mintages. Cards like Fiendish Harpie sat around $7 for about a month before shooting to $70 the week of the release. Other cards like the Alpha version of Swamp thing shot up to $250 from under $20. This leads me to believe that on the day of the airdrop lots of new investors came pouring in and weren't sure what cards to buy, so they simply went for the ones with the lowest mintages. Just thought I'de share my observation! Have you noticed any cards going parabloic in price lately, but haven't been able to make sense of it? Please share your experience!

You did not considered that these cards have "DEC" value attached to it, if DEC go 10x then cards are supposed to go more then 10x.
