I drew inspiration from a question posted by my Guild mate, @seamoose. They asked what to post about as a beginner that has more questions than answers to share. While it isn't exactly writer's block, I think it is related. Below are a few ideas to post if you are new and don't know what to post, or have been around the block and don't have any fresh ideas.
The Splinterlands Team Makes it Easy
- Enter the weekly Share Your Battle, Social Media Challenge or Art Contest, all hosted by the @splinterlands team. Each spells out exactly what the team is looking for, the payout is amazing and the art contest truly frees you from worrying about what to write. If I had better Art skills that would be my go to each week 🤑 The bonus for this option is there is a chance you will spread the word of this great ecosystem beyond those that are already playing. A bigger audience means more potential eyes on your next post!
Daily Quests
- Are you doing your Daily Quests? You should be 😀 Not only do you get a shiny chest for your efforts, but the effort gives you something to write about. Share your reward. What was difficult/easy about the quest? Did you pull a Life/Death/... quest and love/hate using that splinter/ability? All worthy topics to write about whether you are a Novice or Champion.
NFTs
- Is there a list of cards you are eyeing? Write a top three/ten/twenty list of the cards you would like. Which way has the market been trending on these cards? Why do you want the card? Are there any complimentary cards that you want to pair? Write a continuing series as you collect, buy, decide you don't want that card anymore.
How Do You Like To Interact With the Ecosystem
- Post a list of what you have been doing. Do you like to play as much as possible, only enough to earn the Daily Quest reward, just enough to reach a certain level each season? Why? Do you choose not to play much, but love the crypto and or social aspect? Post about the communities you engage with, coins you have/want. Or be like @rxhector and share your recent battles with a slew of curse words that you are possibly thinking when your opponent has successfully dodged you AGAIN. Seriously, splinterlands daily swearfest is one of my favorite reads
Go Learn Something
- Start reading others posts on Splintertalk,1UP, Leofinance. You may find something that you didn't know existed and you can write about what you learn
Learn Some More or Share Your Knowledge
- Need a break from Splinterlands content? Have you found a treasure trove of images/code/tips on how to more quickly/easily/cleanly post? I just wrote an entire post about some of the tips and resources I've discovered that make posting more enjoyable. Don't know where to even start looking for images/code/tips? Check out the About PeakD Community or @newbies-guide and write about what you learn. Don't let the name fool you, the newbies-guide has articles and collections that will likely keep me learning for a long time.
Contests
- I just thought of a new one thanks to @relf87. Enter a contest/giveaway. If you win something, or don't, write about it. I've entered many contests and giveaways and had never won anything until this morning 😀 Go a step further and host a giveaway/contest. It doesn't have to be much, just make it fun. Heck, be tongue and cheek and giveaway that amazing 1 credit you won on your daily quest today 🤣 You will probably even earn some sympathy votes for your poor luck!
Ask a Question
- If you are still at a loss of what to write? Post a question you have. It might not be your biggest payout post, but you never know, it could start a lively discussion and draw a crowd.
Hopefully this list gave you some inspiration if you were stuck.
