Mylor Crowling used to be my nightmare when I just started playing the game and I was still in the Bronze League. Every time I encounter an opponent using a Mylor Crowling, I would almost always lose the fight.
I think it has something to do with my unfamiliarity with the mechanic of the game and the types of cards -- there strength and weaknesses. But the more I play the game the more I learn, and from time to time, I was able to counter and win again a Mylor user.
Despite that though Mylor Crowling was still exceptionally strong in the Bronze League especially if paired with the more powerful monster in the Earth deck and the Neutral deck.
Thanks to my experience fighting Mylor users, I finally decided to give the infamous summoner a chance. I rented a Mylor Crowling for 13.43 DEC for one day. Yeah, just one day.
After renting another Earth element card; Mushroom Seer, I started fighting ranked battles using Mylor Crowling and... lost three consecutive battles. Definitely NOT a good start...
In my fourth battle though I finally got a win against someone using a Malric Inferno. Then lose the next battle with a Pyre user...
After than I manages to win more battles using Mylor Crowling by using monsters with higher health. Sadly, still loses more than I win.
If I were to put a percentage on my wins and loses, it would be: 60% loses to 40% wins. Yeah, Mylor Crowling was no longer as good as some people on YouTube had advertised. Or at least that was the case for me.

The next day though (which was today) I still decided to extend my rent of Mylor Crowling and Mushroom Seer, and see if my win rate would improve. And the result was... terrible.
Instead of improving my win rate, I actually loses four consecutive times using Mylor Crowling. It was a horrible experience that had upset me greatly. After those four consecutive loses I decided to not use Mylor for the duration of my gaming for this day.
Why was my experience with Mylor Crowling so bad?
I think the reason why I loses a lot has something to do with the fact that I'm playing in the Silver League where there are rules that are disadvantageous to Mylor Crowling. For example, "Earthquake" and the "Poison" rule set (which I seem to get a lot of).
Moreover, players in the Silver League have more diverse and powerful cards that they could use against Mylor Crowling. I think the fact that I'm only using a level 1 Mylor Crowling also affect my win rate.
If I were still playing in the Bronze League where the level of the cards are low and bots that are using the starter cards are plenty; Mylor Crowling would be able to dominate. But in the Silver League where cards are of higher level and diverse; Mylor Crowling's effectiveness diminishes greatly.
It's no wonder that I rarely encounter players using a Mylor in the Silver League. Players that used to play with Mylor Crowling must have move on to better summoners.
But is Mylor Crowling useless?
Of course not. Actually far from it. Mylor Crowling is a very useful summoner if used in the right situation and rule sets. For example, Mylor should be able to dominate in rule set that forbids the use of range units, and/or rule set that only allows Melee units.
Sadly, encountering rule sets in the higher league that would be advantageous to Mylor Crowling seemed to be rare. Or at least based on my experience in my two days of using Mylor Crowling.
That being said, in the Bronze League, especially in the lower Bronze League; Mylor Crowling should be able to get you all the wins you need.
So yeah, if you could afford Mylor Crowling, you should still buy him. After all it's always better to have more summoners to choose from when playing Splinterlands.
That's all for now. Thanks for reading.
Cheers!

Yes, Mylor rules Bronze.
Yes, Mylor is TERRIBLE outside of Bronze.
In Silver, give Life a try- Taunt, Heal, Repair- it's FUN!
Thanks! I'll try the Life deck next time.
Next time?
Does that mean you aren't in Silver anymore?
If you going to use Mylor you need to upgrade as high as you can Failed Summonor and position it as your tank because this card deflects magic and usually you kill of all low level magic health cards straight away and if a melee attact happens they also get hit. In the second position for most of the time you need Flesh Golem level 3 (self healing) or if you cant afford the card use stone golem. The next lot of cards I use are either snipe or sneak attacks depending on who I challenge. Give it a go and tell me what you thind.
