SUMMONER: MYLOR CROWLING
One of the most overpowered summoner, I remember when I started playing Splinterlands, and this was the only summoner I am renting to climb upto Silver before when only the ratings is required for you to advance the league, and earn more chests.
Ability: THORNS
When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.
Front Monster: ARKEMIS THE BEAR
I decided to put this monster in front because it has three damage, three mana, and twelve health which is good to act as my tank. Adding up the ability to add shields for my entire line-up plus the halving to reduce the damage of the enemy's tank.
Abilities:
PROTECT - All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor.
HALVING - Each time this Monster hits a target, the target's attack is cut in half (rounded down).
Second Monster: BRAMBLE PIXIE
One of my favorite riftwatcher card, given the fact that it has 4 melee damages, three mana, and nine health will surely gave huge damage to the enemy's front monster.
Ability: REACH - Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
Third Monster: SAND WORM
This card will give your line-up huge damage against your enemy's back liners, six damages, three-speed, and six health will surely give misery to your opponent's monsters.
Ability: Sneak - Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
Fourth Monster: ULOTH DHAMPIR
I decided to use a ranged monster to avoid a disadvantage if the enemy chooses Mylor too, at least I have a monster that won't affect thorns each attack. This awesome card has four range damage, two speed, and nine health with stun ability.
Ability: STUN - When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn, 50% chance of activation.
Fifth Monster: HUNTER JARX
Adding up this awesome hunter to my line-up gives extra spice to reduce my enemy's back liner monsters, having four range damages, two speed, seven health, and the snipe ability will surely give my line-up extra damage boost.
Ability: Snipe - Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
Sixth Monster: COEURL LURKER
And here comes the game maker for this line-up, I put this bad boy at the back to act as my second tank which did a great job for this match, having four damages, four speed, and eleven health plus the abilities it has will surely provide delays and gave time for my damage dealers to reduce my enemy's monsters.
Abilities:
TAUNT - All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
DODGE - Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks, +25% Dodge vs melee/ranged.
PHASE - Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks)
The Battle
Round One
When I saw my opponent's line-up, I already know I have a huge chance of winning the match since only one monster from my enemy's team has range damage. Knowing that Mylor's counters are those range and magic damages. Before round one ended, my team manage to take down enemy's Tenyi Striker.
Round Two
In this round both of our front monsters died, and most of my enemy's monsters are in critical condition upon entering round three.
Round Three
During this round I know the battle will end soon, with only two monsters left to my opponent's end before ending round three.
Round Four and Five
Round four to five is more on domination from my line-up, given the fact that the only damage dealer from my opponent's team is Ferox Defender, THE VICTORY IS MINE.
You can develop a better strategy if you know what your enemy may decide to do during the fight. Better planning on the summoner to use and which monsters to choose can give you a chance, albeit it won't guarantee victory. In this scenario, I simply predicted the situation better, thus I got to keep the award. It's important to plan ahead, so make sure you do.
