Splinterlands Training Mode - Social Media Challenge

in Splinterlands7 days ago (edited)

In Splinterlands you battle against real life other players and rank up (hopefully) to gain better rewards. That is the game in it's simplest form. But what about if you suck at Splinterlands and need practice? What about if you got new cards and want to figure out the best way to play with them before you face real people and risk losing your rank in the Leagues Leaderboard?

Introducing Training Mode!

This is news to me as I never knew this was a thing. And I gotta say I LOVE it. I took a little hiatus from Splinterlands. When I came back there was an entire new set of cards (Rebellion) which honestly is now sold out so another new new set is going to be coming out soon. So I have been attempting to amass Rebellion cards to play in the Modern Ranked Battles. But what happens when people have a 2 year head start on me on what works with what and what doesn't work? Well I lose A LOT lol.

To get to the Training Grounds, navigate to the top right corner in the Battle Screen and click on "Training".

A new popup will appear that will let you pick some setting for the battle.

For Difficulty you can pick between EASY, MEDIUM or HARD.

For Allowed Cards you can pick between ALL CARDS, MODERN, GHOST CARDS or GHOST MODERN.
Don't ask me what Ghost cards are because I have no idea

For Summoner Level Caps you can pick between NOVICE, ADEPT, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED or EXPERT.

When you change some settings it will update the graphic below and show you what you can and cannot use.

I am going to perform a Easy / Modern / Novice battler in Training Grounds.

Once you click on "Send" it will appear as a normal Battle.

After you pick your Summoner and Monsters you are brought to the familiar Battle Screen.

After you win, or lose, you will also see the normal end of battle screen. Although there are no rewards for these types of battles.

You can keep doing that over and over again to hone your skills, test new strategies, or just for fun. It's a great addition to the game and allows us crappier players a good way to work out the kinks and get better without spending Energy and going lower in the ranks.

Test it out and let me know how you like it!
