And we are back to Dragons again. I will show two battles this week, to show their versatility and because one of them is very quick.
The First Battle
This was a low mana battle with a very restrictive rule set: Back to Basics and Even Stevens.
Even Stevens works well for the Dragon reward cards as they are all even mana to summon. Djinn Chwala makes a great tank, even without her Thorns, and the two ranged damage dealers make up the back line as they don't need their abilities.
Even with occasional misses due to Chwala's lower speed, the high damage output overcomes the enemy tank quickly and then the back line.
The Second Battle
In this battle Quix brings in the Life splinter to assist against a more leveled up Water team.
Quix's leader skills nicely counter the extra speed from Kelya and the extra damage from the back line ranged attackers. The Life cards bring some extra armour, a tank heal, and lots of dps - though the extra armour doesn't last long due to my opponent's Opportunity and Snipe monsters.
Opportunity and Snipe removed the Arbalest next, but the high dps had already done its work and his two tanks were down leaving the Deeplurker as the main concern.
Once Deeplurker was brought to the front, though, Chwala's Thorns could go to work on him.
This left only the last two range monsters and only one could attack, so the win was assured.
Conclusion
With strong monsters available from reward cards and the ability to draw from the other splinters, Dragons are one of the most versatile teams.
