Being with Splinterlands since the beginning, it's my pleasure to have so many cards from different editions starting from Alpha to recent edition of Rebellion.
We get many new cards every year with new abilities and there will be many new rule sets introduced too every year.
There are some monsters which are like monsters for all rule sets and One such monster is Almo Cambio, yes, that ghost like monster which are those fiery pink eyes.
Many would say Almo Cambio is the equivalent of Lord Arianthus from Alpha and Beta editions because of similar abilities both possess, but I feel both are unique with few different abilities like Lord Arianthus has thorns, void and shield abilities while Almo Cambio has immunity, phase and return fire which are unique to these 2 monsters.
I still prefer the Almo Cambio because we do have summoners which can induce multiple abilities including thorn and shield and hence, I feel the Almo Cambio is a monster for all rule sets and can be a very lethal front monster without any attacks of it's own, but that can also be changes if we place a weapons training ability monster adjacent to it and just think if we place a Gelatinous Cube on the other side of weapons training ability monster!!! wow, that will be awesome.
Stats:
The stats for Almo Cambio are very simple, this non attacking monster will have immunity ability from the level 1 and gets phase when we level it up to level 2.
By level 3, it will have return fire and when maxed out, it will have magic reflect.
So, 4 levels will have One ability each and if we have a level 4 One, it will be literally very hard to get across this guy and by the time we finish the battle, other monsters around Almo Cambio would have finished the battle.
Having said about different abilities this monster and finishing the battle by other monsters, here I am sharing a battle where Almo Cambio took almost all the attack, but still held it's head high and other monsters just finished off the opposite side's monsters.

The battle had 44 MANA cap with keep your distance(only magic and ranged attack monsters allowed to be used) and up to eleven(all monsters having amplify ability) as rule sets and that made me to use Almo Cambio as front monster with other monsters as mentioned below:
Lineup:
1. Almo Cambio:
As I explained above, all his awesome abilities made me to use him in the front and the rule set of keep your distance means, he can take on magic and ranged attack monsters and still can survive with the magic reflect and return fire abilities.
2. Chaos Dragon:
This blast ability monster with it's 4 + 2 or 4 + 2 + 2 magic attack depending on which monster it attacks, kept the ball moving and kept opponent's monsters in check although opponent had a taunt ability monster in Iziar.
3. Goblin Psychic:
Used this being a tank healer besides reducing magic attack by 1 from opponent's monsters with silence ability and affliction also played it's part.
4. Queen Mycelia:
The magic reflect rule set means, there will be health reduction for all friendly monsters and we need a triage ability monster to heal back the monsters and Queen Mycelia is used just for that!!!
5. Hunter Jarx:
A couple of ranged attack ones with Hunter Jarx being One of them and this 6 attack monster which can attack the Second line, was able to nullify opponent's 3 resurrect options and he helped in getting rid of few of those monsters opponent had used.
6. Acid Shooter:
Lastly, used this 2 MANA cost monster which is like a pocket dynamite with it's scatter ability and also poisoning ability.
The battle had all those awesome monsters with 3 resurrect options for opponent, but usage of Almo Cambio, Chaos Dragon and other monsters gave me an advantage to tame those monsters used by opponent and Almo Cambio played a significant role in this win.

These previous edition monsters still so powerful to take on even modern monsters and Almo Cambio is One such I always feel like using.
