Splinterlands - SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge with Sea Monster

in Splinterlands4 years ago

Hi Friends,

Good day to you all and hoping that you guys are doing good and enjoying the weekend.
It's been a good day for me as well and I am here with my blog for SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge by Splinterlands.
The monster which I am going to write about is the Water Splinter monster Sea Monster.

Edition: Rewards.
Rarity: Common.
Splinter: Water.
Mana Cost: 8.
Attack Type: Melee
Abilities: Heal at level 1 and Thorn at level 6.
Another most used monster from Water Splinter is Sea Monster which is the featured monster this week as part of the Weekly Challenge and it's one of the few monsters with 4 or more melee attack and is with couple of most sought after abilities which we will see below.

Stats:

As we see above, it's melee attack and health are among the best although we see that the speed for this monster is on lower side and that may make this monster to be removed even before it attacks. Keeping that in mind, I have created a lineup which still allows it to be used as a tank and yet not lose it from completing the battle.

Mana Cap: 46.
Rulesets: Broken Arrows.

Lineup:

Summoner: Bortus

image.png

Bortus is the Untamed version Summoner of Water Splinter and I have a level 4 version and this summoner has the ability of reducing the magic attack by 1 from opponent's lineup.

Front Monster: Sea Monster

image.png

I used Sea Monster as a tank because it's a monster with healing ability and also gives a good 5 melee attack..

Second Monster: Wave Runner

image.png

Used Wave Runner in second position as it is a reach ability monster and can attack from second position eventhough it's a melee monster and it gives a good 3 melee attack.

Third Monster: Captain's Ghost

image.png

Captain's Ghost is even though a slow speed monster, it has the ability of affliction which removes the healing ability of a monster.

Fourth Monster: Mermaid Healer

image.png

Mermaid Healer heals the monster from second lineup with it's Triage ability by restoring the health of a monster which has taken maximum blow. Although the level of monster I have doesn't have any magic attack, when leveled up, it can give 1 or 2 magic attack as it is leveled up.

Fifth Monster: Spirit Miner

image.png

One of the monsters with swiftness ability to increase the speed of all friendly monsters, it also gives 2 magic attack.

Sixth Monster: The Krakken

image.png

The last monster on my lineup is a well known melee monster The Krakken and the reason I used this in last position is to divert the attack to last position so as to allow the Sea Monster keep healing and attacking the front monster from opponent's lineup.

The Conclusion:

Since The Krakken kept pulling the attack towards it because of Taunt ability, Sea Monster kept attacking the the front monster and kept removing those one by one.
This is one of the good lineup I have used many a times and have been successful and I feel proud about this and couldn't have got any other monster to work in the way this lineup worked and gave a win to me.
Sea Monster, except for it's speed, it's one of the widely used monster as it gives good melee attack and can heal itself to be alive.

It's always fun battling it out with the lineups I used in this battle and I keep experimenting to explore more alternative ways of winning a battle.
