The best common card in Chaos Legion
Today we will talk about the best common card of the entire chaos legion collection. It is Deeplurker, a common water splinter card with the opportunity ability and the ability to poison enemies as well as having a brutal melee attack, unusual for a common card. It has the great advantage of being in the initial set of the spellbook so all new players can use it.
As you know, I like to share really special battles, battles in which the proposed card plays a fundamental role for victory.
So here we go!
PREP STAGE
On this occasion I have to say that I already had a level 8 Deeplurker in my deck, as well as many water legion chaos cards prepared for the gold league. As you can see in the image, Deeplurker is especially dangerous from level 6 with the ability to poison, at 8 it has a very interesting melee attack bonus.
In a 32 mana battle it is important to combine medium mana legendary cards with other common cards that have special abilities to make a very competitive battle. Thanks to the new rewards and chaos legion collection, the water splinter has cards that are exactly what we're looking for.
For those of you who don't have this setup in your deck, I've looked at the minimum rental price, as the image below shows, the chosen cards are worth 123 dec in the current rental market. It's a really low price compared to rents for other quests.

Understanding rival strategy
The opponent has only one mission, delay the game as much as possible so that Doctor Blight (E) gets a lot of health while poisoning all my tanks one by one. To do this, he uses abilities like Blind from Spirit Miner (C) and an extremely defensive card like Djinn Oshannus (B), as well as Kelp Initiate (A) being a secondary shield for the Djinn. The Stun of Medusa (D) is also a defensive ability to interrupt my tank's attack or prevent it from being able to heal itself. Also, Naga Windmaster (F) reduces a ranged attack on me. As we can see, its configuration is full of characteristics to be tremendously defensive.
As we said, offensively the idea is to make the game last as long as possible, since it has Doctor Blight, without a doubt the best current card in the game from my point of view, since it prevents the enemies from healing, contaminating them, and poisons them. With his Scavenger ability, he adds life when a card dies. About his summoner, ALRIC, there is little to say since the summoners are silenced.
I think that his strategy is very elaborate and does not have many points of improvement. Perhaps the weakest point in his build is the tank he has chosen, too vulnerable.
Understanding my strategy
My strategy is as follows, my main offensive weapon is the Deeplurker card and give it the greatest possible protection so that it is not damaged, putting an impassable shield in front of it, 1 and 2, and placing three cards behind it in case the sneakers appear.
BORTUS: Has no influence in battle because summoners are silenced.
Baakjira (1) In my first position, I needed a very defensive piece full of life, with its void abilities, magic damage reduction, self-healing, increased life of my entire team and slowing the enemy, this legendary card is one of the best in the entire game.
Djinn Oshannus (2) To secure my defensive strategy, in case my main tank goes missing, my djinn is a deeply defensive card against magical attacks and an imposing shield against blast attacks of magical origin on my tank.
Deeplurker (3) Its main function is to kill the opponent's weakest cards with its opportunity ability or, at least, poison them.
Supply Runner (4) Increases the speed of all my cards, being able to cause miss on my opponent's attacks and prioritizing my attacks.
Halfling Alchemist (5) This card is very interesting and unique, as it has the ability to break the opponent's weapon if it deals damage. Combined with my tank's defenses it can disable the enemy tank's attack.
Torrent Fiend (6) A secondary shield against sneakers
I think that my strategy, as I said about the rival's, cannot be further improved, except for some detail that I am not able to see.
RESULTS & Experience
The key to victory was, which defensive group would resist the opponent's attack? Even though the opponent bent over backwards to finish off my tank and even though my Baakjira was poisoned and tainted, it was a really powerful tank and gave my Deeplurker time to finish all the work. Since his tank was much more vulnerable than mine, victory fell to my side.
My experience with Deeplurker has been fantastic, it is in fact the first Chaos Legion card that I fell in love with for all its possibilities, and the first card that I compulsively bought haha
I have to say that it is a pleasure to play against experienced players as you learn a lot about them, I hope to meet this opponent again as they have very well thought out builds.👌
Agree 100%. Will share this on my Splinterlands Digest Twitter.

I would definitely agree, that Deeplurker is one of the greatest, if not the best common card in the Chaos Legion expansion. It is really amazing to use it!
Have a great day!
