In this video we learn about one of the abilities which I believe is under-utilized as well as undervalued on the card market.
We go over what this ability is, how to apply it to different battle rulesets, how we should position our monsters when playing this ability and a number of other important factors.
One of main reasons this ability is so important though is because of the future meta of Splinterlands, and the 'Fiend' cards which will be releasing on December the 8th with Chaos Legion.
So that you can see how this will work, we go through an example battle with these 0 mana fiend cards and how they will synergise with the ability.
Lastly we go through all the cards which have this Scavenger ability, and break down the costs so that you can see which is priced the best. Seeing as this guide is mostly for players just starting out in Splinterlands, we sort them by cost to CP ratio to ensure you're getting the best bang for buck.

This was fantastic. I agree with your points and have always found this ability great. I bought a level 6 vulcher when I first started playing only to realize I could not play him without leveling a summoner. I have been waiting on him for awhile now. But seedsmith is quickly becoming a favorite for sure.
I'm glad you got something out of it! I really enjoy this ability. It's won me a TON of games in certain rulesets. I think bringing in the 'fiends' into the game play will make it even more meta.
Cheers!
We love your videos!
