Card First Impressions

Selenia sky appears to be another strong flexible dragon summoner, offering a buff for all ranged attacks naturally certain cards will mesh better with her ability. At 3 cost she is a very affordable dragon summoner, hence why she is a legendary. However, since she is out of print her price to rent is not neccesarily the cheapest. Especially when there are a few rare and common untamed dragon summoners available with excellent buffs at a fair cost. If you can use her she really packs a punch when you need to throw off your opponent by bring out a ranged lineup hitting them stronger than they would anticipate. Especially good with ranged cards that can attack from the first posistion like Hero from Beyond and numerous others scattered about the splinters. Or rulesets that eliminate magic users or melee users from the pool of available cards. Cards that offer melee AND ranged attacks can also synergize well with Selenia Sky (more on that below).
Battle 1: Quadruple Strike Strategy and Placement
For the strategy and placement of my creatures in this match I put a spineback turtle to the front to absorb the enemies inital hits with it's high hp for 4 mana giving my back line Axeman and The Vigilator time to wreak total havok. Without armor plating or any sniping the enemy was shredded to 2 units with 4 speed and double strike. Torhillo the Frozen couldn't last until round two under the pressure.
In round 2 pirate captain wasn't far behind. Falling to massive damage and a flurry of volleys from axe master. It didn't take long for the rest of the enemy lineup to follow en suit.
Crustacean king hanging bag cutting into the enemy a little bit and healing the frontline all the while provided great assistance to the Vigilator once he reached the front.
The dragon bowman with sneak also gutted the backline preventing a lot of damage. The enemy expecting a heavier magic oriented lineup w/o sneak based on their 1rst position tank and like of 6 position shield.
Battle 2: Silenced Selenia Stomps Strategy and Placement
In this battle all summoners were silenced so Selenia didn't offer much in the realm of buffs, but only costing 3 as a dragon summoner was well worth using her purely for that aspect. While this battle doesn't showcase Selenia's abilities it does really highlight how terrifying dragon jumper can be. He was able to take down the enemy backline before the Gorlodon could fall.
Well executed dragon jumper but by round 3 his murderous mayhem ceased, may the winds fare you well. At this point ancient lich had acquired a nice pocket of health due to numerous round of play and the first creatures in positions 1 and 2 battling to the death while dragon jumper took advantage of his opportunity faster and with 1 more attack than cave slug. Plus he is a flying card which means he wont miss other flying cards for that reason.
In whichever case he dies in round 4 but a thoroughly engorged lich is able to finish off the enemy until their deadly ranged dragon in the backline could be squashed harmlessly being forced into 1rst position.
Battle 3: Close Range Smackdown Strategy and Placement
To view this battle click here. In the close range ruleset when a creature has more than one attack type and the secondary attack type is range the creature delivers 1 blow of each type when it attacks. This does not trigger with retaliate. In my battle here to take advantage of the ruleset I used the super utile dragon card The Vigilator attacking 2 times with 2 attack on 2 occasions if he would make it to the front line. In his current position he deals 2 damage 2 times per round. Meanwhile War Chaang is placed in 1rst position anticipating a melee attack and boasting a might 5 damage with 3 ranged attack and 2 melee. All the while silvershield archers was whittling away the enemy backline one armor plate at a time.
The primary enemies in the opponent's lineup fall quickly, halfling alchemist reducing damage and increasing team survivability, but it's too little too late. In round 3 the Vigilator is brought towards the front dealing at a minimum (including halfling alchemists debuff) 4 damage per round at maximum 8. That's quite a whopping blow to position 1. Unable to withstand the onslaught and unable to take out Silvershield archers either. The enemy falls due to massive fast frontline damage to overwhelm the enemy's armor plating and armorsmith.
In this battle the enemy armorsmith didn't pose a threat due to vastly superior speed and damage, but should not be underestimated. In a melee only ruleset or ranged only ruleset forgetting about the possibility of armor can be your downfall for example.
