SPLINTERLANDS 101(NEWBIES GUIDE)

in Splinterlands3 years ago

Hello everyone, Tobirama here, I'm new to this site and kind of community.
This is my first time to do this, anyways, without further ado here are my tips for new players of Splinterslands.

Before you unlock the SPELLBOOK and rush to earn Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), here are some pointers that can aid you in your journey.

GUIDE #1 DON'T SKIP TUTORIAL
This is the starting line of everyone, even veterans sometimes return to check it out if they miss or wanted to clear somethings.

GUIDE #2 PRACTICE!
Practice until you fully understand the game. Familiarize yourself from
skills and strategies. Practice makes perfect and it will boost your confidence in the end. Patience is a must!

GUIDE#3 CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
Don't be afraid to try, if you lose many times in a practice or challenge mode. It will make you even cunning and sharper in the game. Just like the other players usually say, "I knew it he will use that on me" and lose with regret (also me). Experience is the best teacher.

I guess you're now ready, unlock your Spellbook!

GUIDE#4 IT'S TIME TO DUEL!
Yep, its time to put into the test what you have learn. Whatever your first ranked battle outcome is, always march forward. You may win in a streak and also lose in streak, Don't feel bad instead be glad because there's a room for you to change and evaluate the errors you have made. Win or lose you still won an experience that will guide you to reach your goal. To be the number 1 player of all, haha!

GUIDE#5 ENJOY!
Though Splinterlands is a game that can generate an income, don't be so hard on yourself that you have to win in every battle. You'll end up frustrated and maybe end in quitting the game. Just enjoy the game with others and have fun. If you lose, its ok. You can try again. If you win, you earn DEC and its super ok!

So there you have it guys, I hope it will help you in some other ways.

If Im not busy, I'll make some tips and guides on how I manage to win in low mana cap and high mana cap, which splinter or monsters to use, turning set of rules in your advantage, and how to reach a league without using too much expensive rental cards.
Until then guys! Take care!

Hello, @ctrl-alt-del

This is @fionasfavourites from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member - Keeping Up With the Buzz – My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out – Hive Communities.

Also since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

Also, as this the hive can be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful – easy to understand – posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, you are welcome to tag me (@fionasfavourites) and please mention @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
