In my earlier posts, I mentioned that I usually join brawls instead of ranked play because I have limited time.
I participated in the last Brawl (which all the details will be shared with you in the upcoming social media challenge). In preparation, I rented CL and GF Rebellion decks on @peakmonsters.
One of my preparation strategies is to play some ranked matches to familiarize myself with the cards I own. This practice helps me select the right cards more efficiently during actual Brawls, especially when time is limited.
This match really caught my attention. In this ruleset, I typically struggle when I rely solely on Rebellion cards. However, this time I decided to include a Chaos Legion card, Djinn Oshanus, in my lineup, and it completely changed the outcome.
Ruleset

Wands Out | Noxious Fumes |
- You can only summon units with magic attacks.
- All units start the battle poisoned and lose 2 health at the beginning of each round, starting in round 2.
Mana Cap = 25
Considering these conditions, I made the decision to have this lineup:
Summoner
Given that I already have Djinn Oshanus in mind and considering the low mana cap of 25, I chose Zeddica as my summoner.
Tank - Djinn Oshannus
Djinn Oshannus (RF) at level 2, gains the Void ability,
which reduces Magic attack damage by 50%. This means Magic attacks with a power of 1 deal no damage, making him highly effective against low-power Magic monsters.
Second Liner - Anasth Soothsayer
At level 2, Anasth Soothsayer possesses the Cleanse ability
, which removes all Magic debuffs from the allied unit in the first position including poison. Additionally, he has a Tank Heal ability
that restores one-third of the maximum health to that same allied unit, enhancing its survivability in battle.
Backliner - Captain Fellblade
She possesses the Sneak ability , enabling her to target enemy units in the backline. This makes her highly effective at eliminating healers, cleansers and weaker opponents positioned at the rear.
Now that my lineup is finalized, let's take a closer look at the performance of each round.
Round 1
The enemy lineup and their abilities were unveiled, featuring Obsidian (+1 Magic) as the summoner. His team included the Regal Peryton, Queen Mycelia (+1 Armor), the Spirit Hoarder (Triage), the Goblin Psychic (Tank Heal), and the Ujurak Elder equipped with Camouflage.
Battle Begins
With a speed of 5 and at a higher level, Captain Fellblade struck first, targeting the Goblin Psychic since the Ujurak Elder was protected by its Camouflage ability.
Anasth Soothsayer sprang into action, utilizing his Cleanse ability to remove negative effects and healing Djinn Oshannus, thereby protecting him from the poison damage in the second round.
Round 2
At the beginning of the second round, the poison effect was triggered, swiftly eliminating the enemy's Ujurak Elder.
Captain Fellblade struck once more, this time delivering a single magical blow that swiftly eliminated the Goblin Psychic.
Anasth Soothsayer healed Djinn Oshannus while delivering a critical blow to the Regal Peryton. Now, only Queen Mycelia and Spirit Hoarder remain on the battlefield.
Round 3
At the start of the round, Queen Mycelia succumbed to the poison, while the Spirit Hoarder was rendered unable to attack as Djinn Oshannus unleashed his final magical shot.
When the dust settled, my team emerged unscathed while the enemy monsters were completely annihilated.

Hey mate, thanks for the post! I use to play often that combination between Djinn Oshannus and Anasth Soothsayer. But don´t forget to include into your strategies and line ups the FORGOTTEN ONE, a monster card for this ruleset. And if you power him up with 2 martyrs....
I also use the Forgotten One when I use the Fire Splinter. Thanks for dropping by mate !BBH
