Four Femme Fatales of Splinterlands

in Splinterlands3 days ago

Had a hectic schedule the past few days. More than glad today as I am finally getting a moment to breathe.

I was exploring posts related to Splinterlands and thinking about how to become more engaged with the community. I had planned to participate in the Splinterlands art contest, but I noticed that many of the submissions appear to be finished works.

Our Paths Crossed Again

This morning, I was cleaning out our storage room to create more space. I sorted through items to either throw away, give away, or sell things that we no longer need.

I came across some of the artwork I created many years ago, and it brought back a flood of wonderful memories.

(The frame on the left was reached by the floodwaters during the typhoon.)

I used to do cross-stitching back in the day when I had more free time and social media was primarily limited to MIRC.

When I saw these, it occurred to me that I could take up cross-stitching again and submit my creations as entries for the Splinterlands art contest.

Splinterlands Connection

After discovering Splinterlands, I became just as engrossed in it as I was with cross-stitching. Now, I can enjoy both hobbies simultaneously and hopefully achieve success in the contest.

Initial Processes

In cross-stitching, I believe the first step is to prepare the pattern. When I first started this hobby, I didn't have the luxury of selecting my own designs. Instead, I had to choose from a variety of pre-made patterns that were available for sale.

Femme Fatales as Patterns

These are the women of Splinterlands that I admire, and I hope to include them in my collection. While I may not have the cards just yet, I plan to create something to hang on my walls as a symbol of my achievements.

Runemancer Florre: She's a real beauty and she can deal damage through both magic and ranged attacksQuora Towershead Quora's impressive combination of Bloodlust, Heal abilities, immunity to debuffs, and dual attack types made me fall in love with her.
Olivia of the Brook : She possesses the Mimic ability, allowing her to gain an ability from an opposing cardHeloise The Hollow : Her abilities to self-resurrect (Soul Siphon) and counterattack (Spite) are truly amazing! She just fetched 9,123,456 DECs in the recent Card Auction

The Patterns

image sourceI used Pixel-Stitch (https://www.pixel-stitch.net/) to create the patterns for this planned Splinterlands Art Projects.

I plan to start with Runemancer Florre with all her elegance and beauty. This is the generated pattern for my cross stitch project.

Pixel-Stitch is an intuitive and user-friendly tool that allows you to transform photos into cross-stitch patterns effortlessly.

I have a lot on my plate right now, but I hope to complete Runemancer Florre within a month.

It's crazy how we become so busy that even some awesome hobbies like cross-stitching are often set aside or forgotten. Glad you found your previous works that awakened your love for the craft. I wish you the best and looking forward to seeing your finished project :)

Cool, that's a lot of work! It looks a bit like the designs my wife had for diamond painting when she did that years ago
