Despite my limited time to play Splinterlands, I always experience the usual thrill from each session. The game consistently keeps me on the edge of my chair, as its fast-paced and strategic gameplay never fails to deliver excitement.
This time, I'm excited to share a battle that had me on edge, feeling like an eager child waiting for the outcome. As I watched each round, my heart was racing with excitement. Join me on a thrilling session as we embark on seven rounds of magic and mayhem.
The Ruleset
Maneuvers | Silenced Summoners | Mana Cap |
---|---|---|
All units have Reach (can use melee attacks from the second position). | Summoners give no stat buffs or debuffs and neither grant nor use abilities. | 43 |
My Lineup
Summoner | Rationale |
---|---|
Brewmaster Abraxas | Allows me to combine Earth and Fire. This combination can leverage the strengths of both elements. |
Tank | Rationale |
---|---|
Grund | Grund has the Double Strike ability, which allows him to attack twice in a single turn |
Second Line | Rationale |
---|---|
Grum Flameblade | Aside from the Reach ability in the ruleset, he has also the Bloodlust ability, which grants it a permanent +1 boost to all its stats each time it defeats an opponent. He further has Void Armor, which makes magic attacks ineffective until its armor is fully damaged. |
Third Line | Rationale |
---|---|
Chaos Evoker | Chaos Evoker has the Blast ability, which allows it to deal damage to multiple enemy monsters. |
Fourth Line | Rationale |
---|---|
Torch Vizier | Torch Vizier possesses the Opportunity ability, which allows it to attack the enemy monster with the lowest health. |
Backliner | Rationale |
---|---|
Goblin Tower | Like Chaos Evoker, Goblin Tower also has the Blast ability, which can damage multiple opponents at once. |
Backliner | Rationale |
---|---|
Fungus Fiend | Fungus Fiend here was used as a decoy in case the enemy has monsters with the Opportunity ability, allowing it to absorb attacks and protect more valuable monsters from being targeted first. |
Round 1
The enemy lineup was revealed, showcasing a formidable team consisting of Obsidian, Mycelic Infantry, Disintegrator, Regal Peryton, Venari Spellsmith, Goblin Psychic, and Mycelic Slipspawn—all of which were Gold Foil cards.
First Shot Fired
The Regal Peryton initiated the battle with a swift magic attack, striking Grund and reducing its health by 1.
The subsequent attacks came from my team, taking advantage of our speed advantage over the enemy. We targeted Mycelic Slipspawn because its Taunt ability made it the only viable target for our attacks. The Blast abilities of Chaos Evoker and Goblin Tower proved invaluable, as their combined attacks significantly weakened the Goblin Psychic. Eliminating this key target would be a major strategic advantage.
Round 2
Despite withstanding the initial onslaught, Grund ultimately succumbed to the concentrated attacks and fell in this round. Our team also managed to eliminate Mycelic Slipspawn, sending it into oblivion.
Round 3
In this round, Torch Vizier landed a swift and fatal blow, taking out the Goblin Psychic. With the Psychic eliminated, the Blast abilities of Chaos Evoker and Goblin Tower were redirected towards the Disintegrator.
Round 4
This round almost made me pee on my pants!
At the onset of the round, the Regal Peryton took out Grumm, leaving me without two key tanks and my bladder began to feel uncomfortable.
I felt a wave of relief when Vizier took out Mycelic Infantry, leaving Disintegrator as the frontline defender. The previous blasts had already weakened Disintegrator, making it more vulnerable to our next attacks.
Round 5
Once again, the Regal Peryton initiated the battle with the first shot. I was fortunate that the summoners were silent in this match, as this spared Chaos Evoker from an immediate demise. The Chaos Evoker retaliated, and its blast weakened the Peryton. Torch Vizier followed up with a decisive blow, eliminating the Disintegrator. However, the round ended with a dramatic turn as Venari Spellsmith's magic struck down the Chaos Evoker.
Round 6
Following the Regal Peryton's initial attack, Torch Vizier swiftly retaliated with a fatal blow, instantly eliminating the Peryton. The round concluded with Venari Spellsmith landing the final shot.
Round 7
As the round commenced, Torch Vizier swiftly delivered a decisive blow, striking the final winning strike against the Venari Spellsmith.

I'm gradually climbing the ranks, though at a slow pace, but every step forward is still a welcome improvement. Along the way, I've earned some Glints and SPS, which I plan to use to improve my deck.
As promised, I'll now share the results of my latest Brawl
In my previous Brawl, I was overly eager to win and assumed my opponent would make a mistake. Unfortunately, this assumption led to a costly error on my part, costing me a perfect game.
Regardless of their ranking or past performance, every opponent deserves respect. They may possess unexpected skills or strategies that can catch you off guard, and underestimating them can lead to unexpected outcomes.

Now, I've learned to anticipate that my opponent will always bring their best strategy to the table. As a result, I've adopted a proactive and tactical mindset. This strategic approach paid off, as I achieved a perfect game in the Brawl.
