Hello there splinterlands guys and HIVErs! It's past few days of 2025 and a sign that the time didn't know how to stop. Imagine that!? It's just new year a few days ago and now we are going to meet the first end of the week for the year. I should really get my self accustomed with this situation and lessen the day dreaming nowadays.

So, did you joined the splinterlands fam and became one of its citizens? Battling here and there, or being a land owner? soulkeep maybe? What ever you decide to play in Splinterlands I just want to welcome you!

Owning Cards in Splinterlands

Well you know, Splinterlands is a TCG (Trading Card Game) that you can collect, battle, sell, rent or trade cards and gain from it. Gain in the sense that you can earn a real world money or happiness maybe? lol. So here is the thing, Cards in splinterlands were divided into four rarity:

  • Normal: Seems basic but some cards will still be you don't wanna missed!
  • Rare: Not a disease but these group of cards can give you a headache ;P.
  • Epic: Epic is Epic. That's it!
  • Legendary: Sounds amazing right? Well owning these cards cannot always guarantee a win!

This are examples of Rebellion Reward Cards Series in Splinterlands. As of now, Card series of splinterlands have many versions, Alpha, Beta, Gladius, Chaos, Riftwatchers and Rebellion with their corresponding Core, Rewards and Promo types. Many? well splinterlands is a game from six years ago so what would we expect? And I am playing this game when the time Chaos series was introduce about three years ago so the development of the game from that time up to now is what I witnessed.

Another thing to note is cards in Splinterlands are also differentiated to they're Foil. A regular type and gold type of foil.

Ok, I guess I introduce enough the cards in splinterlands and now we proceed on how to level those cards to your liking.

Leveling your Cards in Splinterlands

So what is this card leveling system in splinterlands?

  • The levelling system of cards in splinterlands is the process of how you can maximize the potential of card itself for battling or land staking purposes. There are certain levels that the card posses a stat that you can unlock base on what you desire and can prioritize.

As you can see in the example above, A Regular Foil Legendary Card was upgraded from level 1 to level 4 which is n it's maximum potential and it was achieved by combining 11 BCX (Base Cards Experience) or 11 copies of the same card. There are also unlocked qualities/skill of the card on the way to its maximum level as also stated in the stats in the figure. So if you leveled the card to level 2, it added another skill which means it became more competitive in the game. Ohh, take note of this. Summoners and Monster cards have their proper combination. If you have a lvl 4 Legendary Monster Card to use, it must be matched with a Summoner that can summon its full level. In short, full level summoner cards can summon full level monster cards.

The image above is just to differentiate a Regular Foil level upgrade to a Gold Foil level upgrade. Gold Foil's starts at a higher level compared to Regular foils and required lesser number of BCX when upgrading them. The price and scarcity of these cards are on different level also. lol. Pricey!

I guess this is it for me fellas. Thank you for dropping by!
