Hello splinterlands guys and girls! Here i am again popping like a mushroom and giving my opinion playing spinterlands! So, you're here now in splinterlands? or almost here opening the door already? I hope you are so we can meet in the battlefield. :)
Since the game offers a unique experience with its blockchain technology, rewards were given to its user. In the form of Token, NFT's or the possible reward so the game can be much more looking forward and enjoyable. So let's focus on this matter in my Splinterlands Engagement Challenge blog.
Are you a Modern Fella or like to be with the Wild Peeps?
But what ever you choose, there is still reward system to the type of Ranked Battle you are going to play. Both can let you gain SPS and Glint tokens as rewards in every win of course. So you see, you just have to choose which gameplay on ranked battle you can utilize your time and energy efficiently.
Lets differentiate them a bit base on what i experienced. First let me describe Modern Rank Battle. Modern Rank battle requires the Modern Cards like, Rebellion series, Chaos series, etc. So you need to have this card series to enter battle mode. So you have to battle here manually and automation/bot is not allowed and avoid using that here in modern to not your account get banned. So aside from that, you have to stake SPS (splinterhards) to maximize your gains and earn also this token. Nowadays, Battling here in modern or even in wild, card level is not restricted anymore in every league. take note of this that even you are in bronze onwards, you can always encounter guys possessing maxed level cards. And i also suggest you start exploring your team and build them for your future use, weather you will buy them or rent them, it's better to get use to your team since cards in splinterlands are getting more and more. So familiarizing gameplay, combination, synergies, counters of every card is a good way of practice when you are just starting right now. Ok let's continue to what perks can you gain in Modern Ranked Battles, compared to Wild Ranked Battles, in Modern you can gain much more SPS in every win you claim. So SPS is a Token that can be exchanged with real money or crypto's so it is a good way to gain something for your time while playing splinterlands. So if you posses, a good set of cards with their max level and another good amount of staked SPS and killing the battle, you can gain your day a good amount of SPS that you can convert in real world money. Aside from earning SPS, you are getting your GLINT token at the same time, GLINT token is a WEB2 kind of token that you can only spend in the game inside shop. But take note that glint tokens can be traded to web3 items such as card's and titles which can be later on can be converted again in real world money or other crypto's. OK, how about playing in the Wild Rank Battles? Same thing, earn rewards in SPS and GLINT if you won your fight, but the quantity of SPS is lesser and the Glint reward is much more compared to Modern (i just observe this so i might be wrong ;p). Wild also is for ancient newbies (there is like that? :D), what i am trying to say is all series of cards are here. From Alpha to Rebellion series are present so the battle is a lot more challenging. Another thing is you are need to pay a 2000 Dark Energy Crystal every season for you to enter the said Ranked Battle. Why? Dunno. But the good thing about this Wild Format is you can automate/bot your battles. It is permitted in here so if you want to play and find your time too little to do that here in splinterlands, fret not, just set your bot in wild and it can help you gain your rewards.
Also, Both Modern and Wild Ranked battles have their corresponding moving up Tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Champion) rewads.

So i guess i am not that lucky for this rewards but still good to have cards and those other stuff since i like the Rebellion series reward cards what ever rarity they have.
