Card Sets in Splinterlands
Splinterlands has released multiple sets and sets of cards, each with unique features, abilities, and methods of obtaining them. Key information for the major sets is summarized below:
Untamed (2019)
Introduced after the Beta edition sold out. 1.5 million Untamed packs were created, with an airdrop system adding new cards every 100,000 packs sold.
- Core Untamed: Includes 84 cards and several new abilities not seen in Alpha or Beta.
- Untamed Reward: 35 units and 1 summoner obtainable through daily quests.
- Untamed Promo: Only 3 promotional cards, obtained in special events such as the Bitcoin Halving or Kickstarter.
- Mini-Set: ΛZMΛRÉ Dice:
- 25 cards, with 20 starter cards and 5 additional cards added via airdrops every 50,000 packs sold.
- Limited production of 300,000 packs.
- Availability:
Untamed cards and packs are sold out, but can be purchased on the Splinterlands marketplace or from third parties.
Chaos Legion (2021)
Third major expansion with 15 million packs created.
- Core Chaos Legion: 103 cards, with innovative abilities and strategic designs.
- Chaos Legion Promo: 8 promotional cards obtained at events such as pre-orders, Splinterfest, and partnerships.
- Chaos Legion Reward:
- Originally, these cards were tradable.
- Currently, they are Soulbound, bound to the user and untradable except by paying a fee to "unbind" them.
Riftwatchers (2022)
Mini-set with 3 million packs created.
- 43 new cards, including 6 epic summoners and 12 legendary ones.
- Introduced the Fury ability. - Airdrop system with legendary cards of each basic element, added for every 500,000 packs sold.
Rebellion (2023)
Fifth main set, with 9.5 million packs created.
- Core Rebellion: 94 cards with new Multi-elemental Summoners and the Tactics update.
- Rebellion Promo: 9 cards obtained in exclusive events.
- Rebellion Reward: 43 cards, all Soulbound, which can be "unbound" by paying a cost in DEC or Credits.
- Innovations:
First set to include "Conflicts" to obtain cards through airdrops and use them in the following packs.
Pack Production Summary
Untamed: 1.5M packs.
ΛZMΛRÉ Dice: 300,000 packs.
Chaos Legion: 15M packs.
Riftwatchers: 3M packs.
Rebellion: 9.5M packs.
All editions stand out for their strategic design, exclusive abilities and events that enrich the Splinterlands ecosystem.
