I find Splinterlands making bad decisions, and users' problems feedback falling on their deaf ears. It is known from before that in-game implementation of luck is problem for users, and now I have seen how bad implementation of pairing was then and is now. Everything in collection-power-era is bad, or to be accurate everything is good for bots now.

From my own experience pairing in Bronze is equal to disaster once you get into Silver range of rating points. Splinterlands in-game pairing system is stubbornly matching you only with far lower ranked players, I have seen up to 1000 points less rated my opponent. Bad things that pairing is doing are one loss is equal to a dozens of wins, and you stand no chance to fight for leaderboard rewards since you never play with players in leading positions. Only bots are good with this system because they are 24/7 accumulating wins and are constantly enlarging their ratings.

Winning 100% of battles against far less rated players is not possible. Although ELO rating system is used, in-game implementation is very bad because of the way ELO was tweaked.

Cheers!

so right. it's a high risk, low reward every time you get paired with one of those way lower accounts. i have an alt account in bronze and it's brutal. if you get a bad ruleset or a really low mana battle where luck plays more of a role, one loss is equal to roughly 12 wins, so it's a major risk.
