The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Four's a Crowd & Counterspell
  • Mana Cap - 25
  • Active Elements - image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Tarsa

  • With the ruleset and element pick that I got I only had one summoner in mind
  • The summoner in mind was non other than Tarsa as the only active element was fire and playing magic was out of the question anyway so I planed to play melee and +1 melee damage and +1 hp played nicely into it
1st Position: Grum Flameblade

  • Grum Flameblade was my main tanks for this battle
  • Main reason I like Grum Flameblade here a lot is his Bloodlust ability
  • Even tho Grum Flameblade had two abilities which were almost useless as they countered magic and I was quite sure my enemy would not play any magic this battle but I still played him as he is just a great monster in my opinion even without my enemy playing magic based comp
  • Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
  • Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
  • Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Radiated Brute

  • Radiated Brute was my second monster for this battle and the main reason for him was his 3 melee damage for only 5 mana
  • He was also able to tank some hits if my Grum Flameblade should fall
  • Reach - Can use melee attacks from the second position
3rd Position: Kobold Miner

  • Kobold Miner was my first Sneak monster for this battle
  • Also a super great monster as you get so many stats for only 2 mana
  • Sneak - Targets the enemy unit in the last position
4th Position: Uraeus

  • And for last but not least was Uraeus
  • Again main reason for him was that he costs low mana of 3 and has amazing stats both in general and also for my team
  • I put Uraeus as my last monster because he had one armor so if my enemy should play any backline attackers he would tank one more attack than my Kobold miner
  • Sneak - Targets the enemy unit in the last position

Starting board

image.png

  • The starting board was looking quite scary for me at first sight
  • My enemy had 4 level higher summoner and therefor all of his team was nearly twice as strong as mine
  • But what caught my eye was that my enemies team was built a little weird and that might just give me the little boost I need to win this battle
  • Even tho my both Sneak monster were practically useless my enemy also played a magic healer which meant my Grum Flameblade Void and Void Armor were not totally useless
  • But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look

Here's how the battle went

1st & 2nd Round

image.png

  • After two rounds I had finally taken down his first line of defense
  • Now the board was already starting to look quite great for me as I still had my entire team alive and my Grum Flameblade was hopefully going to get a Bloodlust takedown in the 3rd round
  • But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
3rd Round

image.png

  • After 3nd Round was over the board was looking amazing for me and there was little to no way my enemy could win this battle
  • But my enemy did had a high speed monster with heal in front and if I managed to miss enough attacks this could be a problem but I felt like there was so little chance of this happening
  • Lets hope for the best and keep watching
4th Round

image.png

  • Almost nothing happened in the 4th round and the board was still looking the same as it was after the 3rd round
  • But the board was still looking quite unwinnable for my enemy and therefore lets just skip to the victory screen which hopefully wound not be many rounds away
5th Round

image.png

  • It took me 1 final round to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After his Beetle Queen and Ferox Defender had fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely scary at first sight but turned out heavily one sided
  • The strategy to take away from this battle is that you do not need the highest level cards to win matches, sometimes strong low level team is better than wrongly built high level team as this battle demonstrated
