The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Noxious Fumes & Holy Protection
  • Mana Cap - 29
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Tarsa

  • With the ruleset and element pick that I got the most important thing was to counter Noxious Fumes as best as I could as the mana cap was high enough the battle was going to take some time to end and by then Noxious Fumes damage makes a huge difference
  • So in my case I went with fire element as I had a great team there
1st Position: Grum Flameblade

  • Grum Flameblade was one of my main tanks for this battle
  • Main reason I like Grum Flameblade here a lot is his Bloodlust ability
  • Even tho Grum Flameblade would get damaged by Noxious Fumes I still played him because I was going to Cleanse him
  • Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
  • Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
  • Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Venari Marksrat

  • Venari Marksrat was here just to get killed by Noxious Fumes and buff adjacent units
  • Martyr - When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats
3rd Position: Forgotten One

  • Forgotten One was the next tank for my team
  • Forgotten One was played here mostly because his Immunity ability and high stats
  • Immunity - This Unit is immune to negative status effects
4th Position: Scavo Chemist

  • Next up in line is my cleansing monster
  • His entire reason in this battle was to Cleanse my Grum Flameblade
  • Cleanse - Removes all negative effects on the Unit in the first position on the friendly team
5th Position: Furious Chicken

  • I picked Furious Chicken for mainly one reason only
  • And it was that I had 0 mana left and open slots to fill
  • Not the reason I put him in the back not the front was that my Scavo Chemist had 4 speed and might cleanse him not my Grum Flameblade which would end with him getting one Noxious Fumes damage
  • Placing him in the last position gave me a one attack tank in the best case and nothing in the worst case but at least my Grum Flameblade would not get un needed damage

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because even tho my enemy played quite tanky team with two healers mine still felt a lot stronger because mine was not getting damaged by Noxious Fumes
  • But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st & 2nd Round

image.png

  • After first two rounds the board was still looking quite the same as in the start
  • I had lost my backline Furious Chicken but my enemies lost his first frontline tank and also half of his second tanks hp
  • But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
3rd Round

image.png

  • In the start of the 3rd round my Venari Marksrat finally died and buffed both of my tanks
  • My enemy in the mean time lost two of his backline monsters and also was about to lose his Arachne Weaver (healer) in the start of the next round which also meant his Cursed Windeku was about to fall as well
  • Lets hope for the best and keep watching
4th Round

image.png

  • After four rounds the battle board was looking amazing for me
  • My enemy had only one monster on his side with great hp but very bad damage which meant the battle was totally confirmed at this point
  • Also my Grum Flameblade managed to get a takedown and therefore stacked his Bloodlust ability
  • Now I just needed to wait for the last rounds and then face my victory
5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Round

image.png

  • It took me 4 rounds to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After his Ujurak Brave had fallen I took the victory
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
  • The strategy to take away from this battle is the basic Cleanse and Immunity abilities in Noxious Fumes ruleset battles
  • Also Bloodlust monsters are great in Noxious Fumes battles as long as they get takedowns as it is basically same as healing
