The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Weak Magic, Explosive Weaponry & Blood and Sunder
- Mana Cap - 52
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Immortalis
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Immortalis_lv2_gold.png)
- With the ruleset and element pick that I got I really did not have anything good in mind from the start
- So in my case I went with earth element and Immortalis as my summoner because he is possible my best summoner with a basic strong team
- Void - 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power
- Shatter - Successful attacks destroy the target's armor
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Mycelic%20Infantry_lv4.png)
- Mycelic Infantry was my main tanks for this battle
- Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
- The main reason I played a tank with Shield here was that after my summoner grants him Void he will take half of any damage type my enemy decides to go with
- Shield - 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power
2nd Position: Sand Worm
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/23w2ig6E8pQzveiDXe9LZ1GVHiRNb5xnGcY9SmdpDLCWY1VCHBMNhRCpsY48J4DGUPAPb.png)
- Every battle where I have a decently high mana cap I always play Sand Worm as he is just great heavy hitter
- Yes he costs 9 mana but you get a 6 melee damage attack for it
- Also Sand Worm had 6 hp which was high enough to be in the second position as Explosive Weaponry was acitive
- Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit
3rd Position: Mushroom Seer
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Mushroom%20Seer_lv2.png)
- Mushroom Seer was my take on countering my enemy playing any magic based comp
- For 5 mana he is not the best monster when looking at the stats but his Silence ability as saved couple of my matches before
- Silence - -1 magic power to all enemy units
4th Position: Goblin Psychic
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Goblin%20Psychic_lv5.png)
- Next up in line is my one and only healer for this battle
- Goblin Psychic is my favorite healer by far as he has it all
- For 6 mana his stats are not the worst, he has Tank Heal ability and Affliction ability which both play into each other perfectly
- Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
- Affliction - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed
5th Position: Fungus Flinger
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Fungus%20Flinger_lv5.png)
- Fungus Flinger was here just to get killed by Explosive Weaponry and buff adjacent units
- Martyr - When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats
- Blind - All enemy units receive -15% chance to hit with physical attacks
6th Position: Mycelic Slipspawn
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Mycelic%20Slipspawn_lv4.png)
- Mycelic Slipspawn was my backline tank for this battle
- He has some quite amazing tank stats and abilities being 3 speed, 11 hp, Taunt and Forcefield
- Taunt - All enemy Units target this Unit (if they are able to)
- Forcefield - Attacks dealing 5 base damage or more instead deal 1 damage
Starting board
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/23tvCaxYBpuLLvFcx8yBX98m29BG4FKcoTHd9FS48peZ5jxNPcMr4MrP7tXZfZGhitjv2.png)
- Already after seeing the starting board I was fuming as I was facing much higher level enemy than myself
- At least my enemy missed half of his summoner debuffs
- Also I had a great summoner pick has my enemy played 3 monsters with armor and 2 monsters with magic attacks + the -1 hp is always nice to have but even with that the battle still seemed quite doomed
- But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st & 2nd Round
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/23tRzb7u3SmSopcukTL6EDf1rSedREXen1oVtpM5Kg57AwFnH6kDsMrj5Hy8aim9MVrn2.png)
- First two rounds went quite great for me I would say
- I had lost my Sand Worm to Thorns and Blast but I got my enemies Djinn Chwala for it and also his Harklaw was starting to look quite low already while my tank was still at full hp thanks to my amazing healer and backline tank
- But the battle was still far from over and anything could still happen so lets keep watching
3rd Round
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/23tkjcva4jbsHhD26QsovQuzfX62yfEstmiQdg6AAfkRqkSQ4ArKwE3WKESCSJZHLwyKW.png)
- After 3nd Round things were starting to look super great for me surprisingly
- I managed to take down my enemies Harklaw and Revealer
- I also managed to lower my enemies Chaos Dragon and Supply Runner hit points to a low 1 which meant the next round I would hopefully see a board where only my enemies Windeku stands alone
- Lets hope for the best and keep watching
4th Round
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/48HABtQykTbfwsBJL5uuiQLSoHKTAX7nVZ7jLwgjTNtuiARxkYWZosKfq3HaegT976.png)
- The 4th round came and went
- Even tho I lost my Mushroom Seer I was not really sad about it was my enemy now only had is Windeku alive and there was really slim odds of him winning this battle
- But the odds were there so lets hope I managed to hit my Affliction and end off his last monster and take a well deserved win
5th & 6th Round
![image.png](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/dkkfrodo/23tGXhXRUiBJHj6sMsJY76pJvJxzkn7hGeom1qPYLEWqHo522EAWRFpGkPn8h8ze3MwtZ.png)
- It took me 2 rounds to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After his Windeku had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely interesting to watch as I had almost 0 hopes for winning this battle
- As far as the strategy of something to take away from this battle goes I am not really sure as I believe I just played a great counter team for this exact team I was facing and my team would not be as good in other types of ruleset battles
- The main reason I wanted to share this battle was that it is possible to win higher level team when you build your one correctly and get a little lucky with your counter tactics
- If you spoted any great strategy which could work in other battles too leave a comment and let me know
- If you also would like to hop on the Splinterlands train feel free to use my Referral
Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. And till the next challenge, KEEP BATTLING!
GREAT BATTLE!
