Splinterlands Battle Of The Week

The Ruleset

  • Rulesets - Lost Legendaries,Broken Arrows & Fog of War
  • Mana Cap - 15
  • Active Elements - image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Thaddius Brood

  • As only death was active I was hoping my enemy would play magic based comp and for that I tried to counter it with Thaddius Brood -1 magic attack and -1 hp
  • Also as the mana cap was quite low I needed someone who has a low mana cost and 4 was good enough for me
1st Position: Animated Corpse

  • Animated Corpse was my only tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Animated Corpse here a lot is his Void ability as only death was active and I thought that my enemy might play magic based comp
  • Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Furious Chicken

  • Furious Chicken was here just to tank one hit and possible damage enemy attacker with Thorns
  • And also why not play him he costs 0 mana and I had room for him
3rd Position: Life Sapper

  • As Fog of War and Broken Arrow were active i needed low mana magic monsters and Life Sapper was perfect for it
  • Even tho he does not have any great stats I do like his Life Leech ability which hopefully makes him quite tanky
  • Life Leech - The Unit's health increases each time it damages an enemy Unit's health by half the damage dealt
4th Position: Revealer

  • Last but not least is Revealer with his Stun which I really like
  • Also he has some quite great stats for being only 4 mana cost monster
  • Stun - When a Unit with stun hits a target, there is a 50% chance that the target will skip its next turn

Starting board

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because of the level cap
  • Also my Animated Corpse with his Void was going to tank a lot
  • But anything could still happen so lets start it up and have a look

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

  • First round was quite great for me
  • Some simple damage and my Animated Corpse had still a lot of hp left
  • Nobody was taken down in the first round thoso lets keep watching
2nd Round

  • In the second round I managed to take down his first monster which secured me the win as both of his magic monsters had only 1 attack and my Void was blocking it
  • Now I just needed to wait for the next round and then face my victory
3rd Round

  • It took me the whole turn to kill my enemies last two standing monsters
  • After his entire team had fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
  • The battle came down to mostly level diff but I also managed to make a perfect counter team for my enemy
