The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Beefcakes & Fire & Regret
  • Mana Cap - 24
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Immortalis

  • With the ruleset and element pick that I got I felt like my enemy most play some kind of magic monsters
  • So in that case I went with Immortalis as his Void was going to totally counter my enemy playing magic team
  • Also the other -1hp and Shatter are both useful stats to have in any battle
1st Position: Halfling Refugee

image.png

  • Halfling Refugee was actually the last monster I picked
  • I mainly picked him just because I had 1 mana left
  • The other reason was that for 1 hp Halfling Refugee had some amazing stats and I was hoping he could get a hit or two off before falling, that why his ability would not do any harm to my team and I get great damage for my 1 mana
  • Weary - At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate
2nd Position: Mycelic Infantry

  • Mycelic Infantry was my main tanks for this battle
  • Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
  • Combined with Void from my summoner Mycelic Infantry was going to take half of any damage he would face
  • Shield - 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power
3rd Position: Venari Scout

  • Next up was Venari Scout as he was the only low mana monster I had who had +5 hp as Beefcakes requests that
  • Also he had some amazing stats and was able to attack from the backline so playing him was not totally useless for me
  • Opportunity - Targets the enemy unit with the least health
4th Position: Goblin Psychic

  • last but not least was my only healer for this team
  • Goblin Psychic costs a healthy amount but he also has great stats and two amazing abilities
  • The reason I played a healer here was that I had strong front line who was going to take half damage and I wanted to out heal my enemies damage
  • Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
  • Affliction - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed

Starting board

image.png

  • The starting board looked quite promising but nothing to be sure about
  • I managed to predict my enemy playing some sort of magic which I countered amazingly but his Deeplurker scared me a bit
  • But anything could still happen so lets start the battle and have a look

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st & 2nd Round

image.png

  • After first two rounds the board was still looking quite the same as in the start
  • I had lost my first monster which was the plan so I was not really sad about it
  • Also both of his magic monster were low already and about to fall in the next rounds coming up
  • But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
3rd Round

image.png

  • After 3nd Round I was starting to look really confident as I managed to take down one of his magic monster and the other was at 1 hp
  • After his Deeplurker was going to fall into the first position the batte should be over as i just out heal his entire damage
  • Lets hope for the best and keep watching
4th Round

image.png

  • The 4th round went exactly how I wanted it to go and now I was hopefully only one round away from the victory
  • Both of my monster needed to hit there attacks and the battle would end with the 5th round, lets hope for the best
5th Round

image.png

  • It took me 1 round to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After his Deeplurker had fallen I took the victory
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
  • The strategy to take away from this battle is the double protection stats of playing both Void and Shield on one of your tanks
  • To make it even stronger add Tank Heal into the backline and hope your enemy does not play Sneak monsters
