Beginner's Guide: Dragon-Death - Deck, Line Ups and Positioning

in Splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

Good day! First of all, these tips are meant for beginners only who just started to play the game and doesn't have any owned or rented cards.

Today, I am going to share some tips about the death playable cards, the line ups and card positioning. This deck will help you climb from bronze 3 to bronze 2 (or even bronze 1) to start earning DEC without renting any cards yet. All of these tips are also based on my own experience so I can guarantee you all that this is effective for beginners.

This line up can work starting from 18 mana cap so we will use it as our base mana cap. I also tried it on low mana battles but it rarely wins though. So let us start!

Summoner (4 mana) : Drake of Arnak
Yes I know, this is not a death card but we will use it and combine with death cards. This summoner will provide armor to all of your cards which helps to sustain them and live longer to deal more damage.

Position 1 (5 mana) : Haunted Spirit
This card will serve as your tank, thanks to its healing ability. 2 Damage is already decent on lower leagues.

Position 2 (2 mana) : Undead Priest
This card doesn't deal any damage technically but is very helpful due to its weaken ability. It will reduce 1 HP to all of your enemy cards so if your enemy has 6 cards, it will passively deal 6 damage at the very start. Great help isn't it?

Position 3 (3 mana) : Skeleton Assassin
This assassin will serve as your back line damage dealer. With its high speed, it will attack first most of the time, killing enemy back line cards.

Position 4 (4 mana) : Twisted Jester
This is the last card for this 18 mana capped line up. It will also serve as your damage dealer. With its snipe ability, it can target your enemy cards from the back who doesn't have damage or a magic card or a range card.

These are the basic cards you can put on this line up. And as you can see, our line up is more of a back line hitters because most of the damage dealers are positioned at the back. When the mana is higher than 18, you can put these following cards also, the Undead Badger and/or Death Elemental

Just note that this line up is effective only with mana ranging from 18 to 27 based on my experience. And it is very vulnerable when fighting against a water (magic) line up or a fire line up with Living Lava as their tank.

Here's a sample gameplay. I just got luck I here fighting against a Living Lava because of higher mana cap :)

I hope that this simple tip could help you win battles so that you can leave bronze 3 league and start earning from bronze 2 or higher. Thank you so much for reading and see you all in the game! :)
