Hello my friends. I hope you are fine.
We have a new experience with SPLINTERLANDS, it's time to take on a new challenge instead of SHARE YOUR BATTLE. It's the first week with the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge, in this challenge the focus is on Rulesets that organize the battles in the game and give those battles a different fun. The first challenge is Aim True, where speed or ability to avoid attacks doesn't matter, no one is safe and everyone will receive attacks.
You can get to know this game SPLINTERLANDS and its monsters from this link:_

My team:
_My summoner: I chose DRAKE OF ARNAK and merged the DRAGONS with FIRE.
- CHARLOK MINOTAUR.
- ARKEMIS THE BEAR.
- ANT MINER.
- SUPPLY RUNNER.
- RUNE CRAFTER.
- MANTOID.
My strategy:
I chose a defensive strategy with the summoner DRAKE OF ARNAK giving my monsters +1 Armor and the monster ARKEMIS THE BEAR giving them +2 Armor. My monsters cannot be left unprotected as long as all attacks hit their target. CHARLOK MINOTAUR and ARKEMIS THE BEAR are two very powerful tanks with high Health and 3 Melee attack, and ANT MINER is useful when it gets more Health thanks to its Scavenger ability.
I don't use Ranged attack monsters very often, but in this battle it was necessary because my strongest monsters are the ones with single Mana Costs, and SUPPLY RUNNER, RUNE CRAFTER and MANTOID were the strongest in my collection. I think it's a defensively strong team that can damage enemy monsters.
Opponent's team:
1- ANTOID PLATOON. 2- MAGMA TROLL. 3- MOLTEN ASH GOLEM. 4- SCAVO FIREBOLT. 5- MANTOID.
And his summoner is TARSA.
What happened in the battle, and what about my strategy?
The difference was clear from the first round, my monsters were protected by Armors and attacked the enemy's Health directly. It was a smart idea from the opponent to put ANTOID PLATOON in the first position due to the Shield ability, but that was not enough and it was eliminated in the second round and MAGMA TROLL took its place and received a strong attack from CHARLOK MINOTAUR. In the third round, the both tanks were eliminated, but my second tank was very strong and attacked MOLTEN ASH GOLEM hard, while the MANTOIDs continued hitting the back lines. At the start of the fourth round, SUPPLY RUNNER eliminated MOLTEN ASH GOLEM, and was eliminated by MANTOID in turn. Also SCAVO FIREBOLT was eliminated from ARKEMIS THE BEAR. Finally in the fifth round, my MANTOID eliminated the enemy MANTOID, and I won the battle.
My opinion about Aim True:
I think this Ruleset is probably fair. In some battles, one of the players may excel in everything, but he loses because the opponent used a fast monster or had the Flying ability. This Ruleset gives some balance between monsters in favor of Melee and Ranged attack monsters, because Magic attack monsters always hit the target and this may not be fair sometimes.
