In this week's battle challenge we have Prismologist Life Splinter. Prismologist
is a ranged, high mana, blast damage monster. She does well against removing monster shields and health to main, and adjacent targets. She also has shield and a small amount of health to withstand a first round knock out. Look to use this monster in high mana snipe, ranged in first position, no rules, fog, battles. Let's take at look at this monsters stats.

Prismologist stats:

Level 1: Prismologist has Blast ability (Blast ability does additional damage to monsters adjacent to the target monster).

Level 4: This monster receives another ability called Forcefield (Forcefield ability takes only 1 damage from attacks with power 5+).

Level 6: This monster receives its last ability called Silence (Silence ability reduces the magic attack from all enemy monsters).

With each level increase you are also gaining passive stats (Health, Shield, Speed, and Damage).

How I use Prismologist:

In modern bronze league I use this monster in high mana battles. She is an expensive mana cost monster. This does not leave alot of options open in low level mana battles. I enjoy pairing this monster with
summoner General Sloan for that added range damage. The monsters I enjoy pairing her up with are Pelacor Arbalest and Time Mage. Paired with three above mentioned monsters they can really put some offensive damage. In the matchup link below you can see how my strategy worked.

In this battle we have Life vs Death (Oh you know good has to prevail against evil). The ruleset for this battle is Briar Patch (Briar patch is all enemy monsters has Thorns ability), and Melee Mayhem (Melee Mayhem allows melee monsters to attack from any position). Before the match began I looked at the teams my opponent had and level of cards they had. I also looked at the ruleset we were given. These things help me decide which monsters to use. Since the ruleset was Briar Patch and Thorns ability. I knew my opponent and myself would not be using to many melee attackers. So my option was death with a heavy magic attack damage. Or life with heavy ranged damage plus slow and strengthen abilities. I chose life because of the slow and strength ability. This allowed me to mitigate one of the death summoner abilities if my opponent chose death. Now to my positioning.

In the first slot I used Uriel The Purifier for a big heavy slow tank that hits every other turn. Using Uriel The Purifier I knew he would not be taking damage from thorns every round.
Second slot I chose Djinn Renova for her strength ability and health. Her health provides a buffer for the damage dealers in the back and slow ability.
Third slot I went with Time Mage for her slow ability.
Fourth Slot I chose Venari Crystalsmith for her tank heals and added range damage from summoner General Sloan.
Fifth Slot I chose Pelacor Arbalest for his double strike damage and added range damage from summoner General Sloan.
Six and last slot the star of the battle challenge I chose Prismologist. I went with this monster because of her blast damage and added range damage from summoner General Sloan.

This educated guess strategy worked in my favor. If I had to do it again. I would do the same thing. Knowing that this team produce a win for me previously 😀.

Summary of My Thoughts:

I find this card useful in certain situations. I do not believe this card is necessary for modern bronze league. I rarely use this card due to so many low mana battles in modern bronze league. If you are going to stay in bronze league for while. I would suggest acquiring different cards first for low mana battles. So my best advice would be to rent this card first. Then decide from their if it makes or breaks your roster.

Thank you for checking out my Weekly Battle Challenge! And enjoy playing Splinterlands!
