Overview

Welcome back my faithful followers and Splinterlands gamers to the next edition of 'For Guild & Glory,' a personal brawl report. While I'm publishing it quite a bit late (the most recent brawl is about to reach results stage), "better late than never" my mother says. You can expect my next report to come in just a couple more days.

After back-to-back first-place brawl finishes in Tier 2 for my main account @ducecrypto with the Splinterlands' Top 3 guild @shield-of-glory, we took a step back finishing 4th behind some tough competition from The Guild of Neoxian, Marauders of Crom, and PeakMonsters [Vikings].

On the other hand, my alt account @shaelien, which is a co-leader for the gold-level Tier 1 Gold Syndicate guild (part of @the420syndicate), helped secure a second-ever first-place finish ahead of Blue Flame Bois and Splinterlands Quebec. Below are the Top5 guilds from each brawl.

Personal Record

Battling in Tier 2 Fray 14, which is Bronze Gold Foil Modern, DuceCrypto was able to secure another top performance based on win percentage, going 4-1 against some strong competition.

Shaelien took on a new challenge in Tier 1 Fray 3, which is Novice Chaos League, and also turned in a strong result with a similar 4-1 finish.

DuceCrypto Battles

I allotted myself another 1000 DEC budget for rentals, but only used 817, to get some gold foil cards for brawl as well as some lucrative gold foil tournaments. After all, why not feed two birds with one scone?

Because so many of the opposing guilds have developed their barracks to be able to ban powerful cards, most commonly legendary summoners like Yodin Zaku and Scarred Llama Mage, I decide to focus most of my funds towards monsters, with a particular focus on neutral cards that could be played with any summoner. You can see the list of assets I acquired using @peakmonsters for the rentals.

Since these battles are about a week old, I won't go into detail. Next week you can expect a little more insight into the strategy. Instead I'll just leave you with the links in case you want to go back and view the action.

Shaelien Battles

On my alt account, Shaelien mostly battles with extra 1xBCX cards delegated from my main account which I'm HODLing for the long-term, as well as leveled-up reward cards earned from daily quests and end-of-season chests. However, for this new placement in a Chaos Legion fray, these rewards cards are not yet able to be used. Hopefully this will be fixed when the rewards are re-coded for the split of modern and wild formats.

Again as a matter of brevity, I will just attach links to the battles for anyone interested in scoping out the action.

New Brawl Preview

For the most recent brawl that just reached result stage, Shield of Glory faced off with perennial powerhouses Knights United, Team Possible, and a rematch against PeakMonsters [Vikings] in Tier 2 play.

Back in Tier 1, The Gold Syndicate battled against tight competition from Spirit Animals, Smog Health, and NFT Warriors 2 as some of the top guilds in the group.

Thanks to all for reading through. I look forward to bringing you another brawl report in a couple days as I break down all the action from these most recent battles. As always, I'm curious to hear what you think about my report or any of the lineups I used in my battles, so feel free to sound off in the comments. Best of luck in your battles and I'll see you in the Splinterlands.

Great writing bud. You are a true asset no matter what guild you are in. I look forward to our future collabs. You have an amazing thought process on the crypto gaming space and NFT space. I love that you background is from the traditional paper TCG player. Keep putting out banger content such as this and you will have a massive following on here in no time.
