here.Welcome back Splinterlands battlemages to another edition of "For Guild & Glory," my brawl report series covering all the action from my three accounts: @ducecrypto in Tier 4 with @shield-of-glory from the Kingdom of Glory [KoG] alliance, @treycrypto in Tier 3 with the @yggspl-official alliance YGG Brawlers (Niðavellir) and @shaelien in Tier 3 with the always lively @the420syndicate. Before I get started, I just want to point out this review is for Brawl #147, which actually ended on April 21. I've been on a bit of a holiday recently in Barcelona for the week and then Ibiza for the opening weekend at Ushuaia and Hi on April 29. But while I have a few hours before the festivities begin, I figured it was a good time to get my reports written.
DuceCrypto & Shield of Glory
For this Tier 4 brawl, the toughest opponent in our group was Samurai Soul LLAC and they have beaten us in the past - but not this time. We finished with a record 115 wins and 59 losses, six wins better than our Japanese rivals. Plan B surprised me with the 3rd place finish ahead of Wyverns, YGG Brawlers (Asgard) and both Tier 4 Peakmonster guilds. As winners of the group, we earned 189 crowns, 10800 merits, and about 165 SPS. Leading us to victory were three brawlers with impressive, undefeated 9-0 results: @justinjoy, @xsuilx, and @ign1te.
57-mana battle between their Yodin and my Jacek. My gladiator Chimney Wallstop connected on a few clutch attacks and Venator Kinjo soaked up some key blast damage in the battle. On the other hand, I lost a high-mana all-magic battleI ended with a 6-3 record defending my usual Fray 18 - Modern Gold Foil Silver League, but I could have done a little bit better. However, I did take down the important one against @koperini of Samurai Soul in this against @archangl. I tried to get cute with an Agor, Oshuur, and Lily setup, but instead, I was thwarted by the void armor granted by Immortalis and the taunt of the Splispawn. All in all, it was nice to get back to winning ways with Shield of Glory after missing first place in the last few cycles.
TreyCrypto & YGG Brawlers (Niðavellir)
In Tier 3, YGG Brawlers (Niðavellir) was looking to run its streak of brawl wins to double digits, but The Anti Social Club stunned us by the slimmest margin - a single win! Typically 103 wins and 47 losses would be good enough for the win, but even so, we still took home 111 crowns, 6167 merits, and 48 SPS. @frozenpizza and @daethical were at the top of our standings with 8-1 records, while I joined @crystalpriestess and @greatplayer2020 with the trio of us sporting 7-1 records.
Despite my solid 7-1 performance, I feel bad for not being able to squeak out that perfect record to get us over the hump and into a tie for first place that we would have won on tiebreakers. Oh well - here is my one loss against @aruchard97 of New Bot Order 2, where their Captain Katie won the battle and my Chimney Wallstop struggled to get going.
Shaelien & The 420 Syndicate
On the other side of Tier 3, The 420 Syndicate struggled again in its brawl group. Although I finally remembered to sign up for the right Fray 10 - Modern Gold League, it did not help very much. We finished in 9th place with a record of 47 wins and 59 losses, while it was T&A Legion II that took down 1st place. Despite the poor showing and low placement, we still earned 38 crowns, 1900 merits, and almost 28 SPS.
20-mana super sneak battle42-mana battle that pitted their Lily and gladiator Larissa Kerato against my Possibilus and gladiator Isgald Vorst. I didn't think I would be able to emerge victorious, especially through the forcefield of Djinn Oshannus, but in the end victory was mine!The standout brawlers were @supermuffin with a perfect 9-0 record, followed by @suavesounds, @jymydan, and myself with two-loss finishes. I absolutely smashed @laaca of the winning guild in this , as I was able to kill Jared Scar before it got going. However, my absolute favorite brawl battle of the cycle was this surprising win over @osum in a
The Gladius Cases
The power stones came through in a big way for DuceCrypto, who hit on two influential Gold Foil gladiators in the six cases I opened after Brawl #147, including my first GF Epic, a card I had been specifically craving for over a year! Shaelien got the minimum one rare and no Gold Foils, while TreyCrypto is waiting to open packs until I can replenish its account with more power stones.

New Brawl Preview
This next brawl is going to be a real grind in Tier 4, as Shield of Glory will be facing off against three other Top10 guilds (Immortal Gods, YGG Brawlers Asgard, and RKO Outta Nowhere) as well as two more YGG guilds Knights and Dragons plus the KoG-allied No Guts No Glory.
Back in Tier 3, it appears YGG Brawlers (Niðavellir) will have an easy go of it with only one other guild in its group ranked in the Top 100 (Sabaoth). Conversely, The 420 Syndicate is in for a rough time as it has SIX guilds in its group ranked in the Top 100, while we are the 9th ranked guild at #174.
