It certainly felt good to get my nodes up and running as well. I looked into the possibility of running one on my own on my backup gaming rig, but I lack the technical expertise. I would be fearful that my nodes could get compromised and I wouldn't want that extra scrutiny on my own network since I wouldn't be renting the server space.

Same here although I continue to hear that it is relatively simple. I just need to find the time and sit to see the process and give it a try. May get an basic PC to setup at some point in the future. Even if it is just to support the further decentralization of the network.
