My Dragon Battle: DRAKE OF ARNAK with Fire, Water & Earth Monsters

in Splinterlands2 years ago

Hello Hivers

There are no boring moments here on Hive as long as there are new things to try out with Splinterlands game. I decided to make an entry in the Splinterlands battle challenge. The theme for the week is DRAGONS. Terms for the battles were as follows:

Edition: ANY

Rarity: ANY

Element: DRAGON + ANY

ATTACK: ANY

ABILITIES: ANY

I thought I had missed out but when I saw the reminder quoted below, my joy was full.

REMINDER: If you do not own the themed card/monster you are welcome to create a battle post and talk about ANY card/monster. Have fun!

I have not bought any Dragon card. Hopefully, my next set of battles would feature my own dragon cards. I hope you can suggest which I should start with.

My Dragon Battle Experience

I thought I had seen all of the splinterlands summoners for the starter deck until the Dragon card came into the scene. The only dragon card in the free-to-play Splinterlands mode is the DRAKE OF ARNAK summoner card.

DRAKE OF ARNAK is a rare Dragon Summoner from the untamed card set with the following characteristics:

  1. Manna cap: 4
  2. Ability: Adding +1 more to all friendly monsters
  3. Estimated Power: 40

The dragon summoner is a defensive summoner. It has no enhancement for friendly monsters' abilities.

The unique thing about dragon summoners is that you can choose other splinters to fight with. That has to be selected prior to the battle. I decided to try out using dragon summoners with fire, water and earth summoners and here I report my battles.

Tell us about your lineup

Below are the line-up for the battles.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

I lost all three battles and I think it was a function of a poor strategy. That is, the wrong positioning of my monsters for the battles.

Do you like DRAGONS? Why or why not?

Dragons seem like a great monster but I wish it had some defensive abilities. I would love it the more. However, when I buy my new cards and shuffle my strategies, I would be able to tell how better my team can perform.

Thank you for your time on this read. Hopefully will share a win battle with dragon cards.
