It's been 3 years and 8 months since I joined Splinterlands in August 2021 with the Boom of NFT Games and Play2earn although I had already heard about it years before when it was known as SteemMonsters but I didn't join until the pandemic and the boom made me look for how to enter the world of NFTs games although I already had knowledge of the world of cryptocurrencies and they paid me and I did some trading with which to earn some money, the extraordinary profits that were the most striking news of the moment made me search among all the ones that had been developed before the Boom, some that were planned before but came out in the boom, others that were barely proposals and those that were scams or projects to enter at the beginning and leave before the project exploded, in the end I decided to enter the one that I saw as more stable and with a future to try before trying the riskiest ones and with more possibilities of losing money and that game I decided on was Splinterlands which had been running for some time, its entry was low by just paying for the Spellbook, flexibility with the amount of investments by being able to buy cards or packs, and the main thing that I liked was that being a card game it fulfilled that and more with the format of sets of cards every so often it gave variety and entertained the players plus gave a flow of money to the project and that was my start.
Ya han pasado 3 años y 8 meses desde que me uní a Splinterlands en agosto de 2021 con el Boom de los Juegos NFT y Play2earn aunque ya había oído hablar del años antes cuando era conocido como SteemMonsters pero no me uní hasta que la pandemia y el boom me hizo buscar como entrar al mundo de los juegos NFTs aunque ya tenía conocimiento del mundo de las criptomonedas y me pagaban y hacia algo de trading con lo que ganar algo de dinero las ganancias extraordinarias que eran las noticias más llamativas del momento me hizo buscar entre todos los que habían desde juegos que se habían desarrollados antes del Boom, algunos que están planeados desde antes pero que salieron en el boom, otros que apenas eran propuestas y los que eran estafas o proyecto de entrar al comienzo y salir antes de que explotara el proyecto, al final decidí entrar al que veía más estable y con futuro para probar antes de probar los más arriesgados y con más posibilidades de perder dinero y ese juego con el que me decidí fue Splinterlands el cual ya tenía su tiempo en funcionamiento, su entrada era baja con solo pagar el Spellbook, flexibilidad con la cantidad de inversiones al poder comprar tarjetas o packs, y lo principal que me gustara que siendo un juego de tarjetas eso lo cumplía y más con el formato de conjuntos de tarjetas cada algún tiempo daba variedad y entretiene a los jugadores más dar un flujo de dinero al proyecto y así fue mi inicio.
What was your first card or most memorable early battle?
One of my first cards was Chain Spinner a Untamed Gold Foil* reward card which excited me to see its value at that time was higher than the price of the Spellbook which returned my investment so quickly which motivated me more to play to get more rewards which was an economic relief at that time but as time went by and I learned more about the mechanics and how the game worked I focused on wanting to climb the rankings and measure myself against the players who had the best and largest card collections so I focused on improving.
Una de mis primeras tarjetas fue Chain Spinner una tarjeta de recompensa de Untamed Gold Foil* lo cual me ilusiono al ver su valor en ese momento era mayor que el precio del Spellbook lo cual me regreso la inversión tan rápidamente lo cual me motivo más a jugar para obtener más recompensas lo cual era un alivio económico en ese tiempo pero con el pasar del tiempo y aprender más sobre las mecánicas y el funcionamiento del juego me fui enfocando en querer subir en las clasificatorias y medirme contra los jugadores que tenían las mejores y mayores colecciones de tarjetas por lo que me enfoque en mejorar.
How has your strategy evolved since you started?
After having this approach, I studied more which cards to use and I began to give more importance to renting cards, so after going through part of the economic and health crisis that was the pandemic, I reinvested the money I earned in DEC to pay for those rented cards, first playing in the only format there was and then when it separated I focused on the Wild Format with which I managed to reach Diamond III and then even go up more, but then I decided to move to the Modern format. Since there were fewer cards, it was easier to think about what I would face and what strategy would be the best to beat them, so it is the format where I currently play and where I already understand and play with the cards at maximum levels reaching Champion III but not wanting to stay there.
Ya después de tener este enfoque estudié más que tarjetas usar y empecé a darle más importancias a la renta de tarjetas con lo que después de pasar parte de la crisis económica y sanitaria que era la pandemia reinvertía el dinero que ganaba en DEC para pagar esa tarjetas rentadas primero jugando en el único formato que había y después cuando se separando me enfoque en el Formato Wild con el que logre llegar a Diamond III y después incluso subir más pero después decidí pasar al formato Modern al haber menos tarjetas era más fácil pensar contra que me enfrentaría y que estrategia sería la mejor para ganarles por lo que es el formato donde juego actualmente y donde ya entiendo y juegos con las tarjetas en máximos niveles llegando a Champion III pero no queriendo quedarme allí.
What are your goals in the game now?
Since my goal is to reach Champion I which is not an easy goal because despite always reaching Champion III the climb is very difficult for me since there are no Streaks Win I am not going to give up while I wait for the arrival of Conclave Arcana which will be the moment where I rent most of the cards at their levels, something from the previous card sets because it is very likely that their prices will go down and also buy or rent the most important cards from the new set to take advantage of those first days in that first season with changes to use the confusion or lack of data to know which ones will be best to try to climb as aggressively as possible.
Ya que mi meta es llegar a Champion I lo cual no es un objetivo fácil porque a pesar de llegar siempre a Champion III el subir se me hace muy difícil al no haber Rachas de Victorias no me pienso rendir mientras espero la llegada de Conclave Arcana que será el momento donde rente la mayoría de tarjetas en sus niveles algo de los conjuntos de tarjetas anterior porque es muy probable que bajen sus precios y además comprar o rentar las tarjetas más importantes del nuevo conjunto para aprovechar esos primeros días en esa primera temporada con cambios para usar la confusión o falta de datos para saber cuáles será mejor para intentar subir lo más agresivamente posible que pueda.
