Introduction
I am quite new to Splinterlands, so I decided to create a "Novice" tutorial covering the topics that puzzled me the most in the game.
When I first started playing Splinterlands, I struggled to understand the purpose of Chaos Agent. A card with zero attack, no armor, and seemingly little impact on the battlefield—why would anyone use it? However, as I progressed and experimented, I discovered that Chaos Agent can become a powerful offensive tool when paired with the right cards and strategy.
In this post, I'll break down how to turn Chaos Agent into an unexpected attacker using strategic card combinations. If you're a beginner, this guide will help you understand the importance of synergy in Splinterlands! 🚀
Master Card: Kulu Mastermind
The breakthrough moment came when I got Kulu Mastermind. This card has an amazing ability: Weapons Training, which grants attack power to adjacent allies that have none. Suddenly, Chaos Agent transformed from a passive card into an offensive unit!
Why is this important?
Chaos Agent has Dodge, which increases its chance to evade attacks.Note: I used a Gold Level 3 Chaos Agent for a richer game dynamic.
It costs only 1 Mana, making it an excellent filler card.
With Weapons Training, it gains melee attack power, turning it into a sneaky threat!
Best Synergies with Kulu Mastermind
To maximize this strategy, I experimented with support cards that keep Chaos Agent alive while dealing unexpected damage. Here are two great choices:
1️⃣ Scavo Hireling – Provides Repair, restoring Chaos Agent’s armor (if available) or another ally's armor to keep frontline fighters strong.
2️⃣ Merdaali Guardian – Provides Tank Heal, keeping Chaos Agent and other frontline units alive longer.
💡 Tip: Place Chaos Agent next to Kulu Mastermind and another support unit to create a durable and surprising attacking core.
Bonus Combo: Chaos Agent with Possibilus the Wise
One of my favorite battles involved Possibilus the Wise, a summoner that grants Reach, allowing melee units to attack from the second position. When combined with Kulu Mastermind, Chaos Agent gains attack AND can strike from the second row! 🔥

What Happens in This Battle from Chaos Agent's Perspective?
Chaos Agent gains:
+3 Melee Attack from Kulu Mastermind.
+2 Armor from Swamp Spitter.
+2 Health and Reach (attack from the second row) from Possibilus the Wise.
Trample (extra attack if an opponent is defeated).
Deflection (battle rule effect).
-1 Health from the opponent’s summoner.
Battle Breakdown
🔹 Round 1: Chaos Agent attacks the opponent’s first position, dealing -3 health damage and avoiding Thorns due to the Deflection battle rule.
🔹 Round 2: Another -3 health attack removes the opponent’s first position. With Trample, Chaos Agent attacks again, dealing -3 health to the next enemy.
🔹 Round 3: Another -3 health attack to the opponent’s first position.
🔹 Round 4: Final attack (-3 health) secures the victory! 🎉
Final Thoughts: Unlocking New Attacking Possibilities
Chaos Agent went from being a mystery to a key part of my strategy. The lesson? Never underestimate cards without attack—they might just need the right combination to shine! ✨
Key Takeaways for Beginners:
✅ Cards with no attack can gain offense through Weapons Training.✅ Synergy with support cards (e.g., Healers and Armor Repair) is crucial.✅ Summoners like Possibilus the Wise can add extra layers of strategy.✅ Always test new card interactions—you might discover unexpected combos!
