I think they feel it is spam as only a few words here or there were changed in each post, so I can see both sides looking in. Maybe if you added a curation effort to them, they would be accepting? As for decentralized being a thing here. It is, and that's what gives downvoting its value. If someone doesn't agree, flag their post. I've been in a few flag wars in the past with various entities and haters. Never fun, but is what it is.
Flagging has to remain. Other platforms and forks have tried no flags and failed miserably. Whaleshares, bearshares, weku and blurt - none of them have gotten anywhere close the community because it's a free for all. Nothing to keep the balance and that's what flagging does. It's really all we have to counter illegitimate rewards or to show real disapproval.
Sure, it breeds negativity, but you don't earn it until you earn it on that 7 day mark.
Not that I agree with them flagging you, but I can understand why. Some big whales think those kinds of posts are spam and believe it or not, they do have to answer to someone else. I don't think it is personal, just protocol laid out by the mega whales.
I think without @hivewatchers, this place would be even more chaotic, with severe assholes flagging everything and anything with no one to keep them in check. Hive Watchers is the closest thing we have to a support or policing system not regulated by any specific community.
They have kept a ton of copy pasta and plagiarism off of here. Sometimes they get it wrong, but usually, they mean well are just trying to help Hive as a whole.

There is a opinion that HW is controversial - and I can understand this view, but lastly I agree with you. To avoid misunderstandings: beside failures (or sub-prime things for a few participants in a big group) which are in every system by the nature of all things, we can be glad to have them. I will try to talk to @lorddiablo and I am pretty sure I can help him to improve some content. Some words, some advice, maybe access to my article image generator tool (which was planned to make public anyway in a modified form...).

I would understand your side of view if @hivewatchers would do that fairly and with every content, but right now they are just picking our few accounts and bully them to hell and even if they downvoted my original content doing the regular Battle Challenge for Splinterlands which took me around an hour each to write and they downvoted that as well simply because they wanted to take revenge!
They didn't say anything of course and they do their regular farming with their borrowed HP, which is of course fine!
I do not want to point to anyone, but it is strange that few giveaways are allowed to pass changing no content at all and many posts posting only pictures with few sentences is also allowed!
Why is it good to have few policeman in town if they stop only the people they do not like??
