Why I use Odysee and not Youtube

in Splinterlands3 years ago

I've been streaming Splinterlands for 1 month and a half now and I wanted to share my videos on an online platform. The first idea that comes to most people's minds is Youtube. But as a strong advocate of the crypto world and decentralization, I can't promote myself on a centralized platform, especially by Google.

The choice therefore fell on Odysee, a video sharing platform on the LBRY blockchain. I'm not going to paraphrase about this blockchain and you can read their About directly on their website (https://lbry.com/faq/what-is-lbry)

The platform allows free sharing of content, without censorship. You can monetize your content into LBRY credits, which can be withdraw without problems on a physical (Hi Ledger ^^) or logical personal wallet.

Where the platform is even more interesting is that by watching videos, you also receive LBRY credits, like a Publish0x for blogging. There obviously Youtube does not give you anything when you watch videos ;)

You can earn a random reward for your first video watch, every 24h, from 0,2 to 100 LBRY crédits !

So necessarily you will not find the phenomenal number of videos of Youtube but the platform deserves to be known.

So if you already know the platform, came to visit me https://odysee.com/@evomaster427

If you don't know, create an account with my affiliate link and you will get 8 credits to start using the platform https://odysee.com/$/invite/@evomaster427:8

Because Dtube is even more confidential than Odysee XD
