How is everything? Lately I don't have much time to post around here, but every now and then I try to come back at least to this community. Unfortunately, two of the challenges in which I used to participate on a recurrent basis are no longer available... Everything changes in this life, but well, we move on. This time the archers shine, as the battle condition dictates so.
¿Qué tal todo? Últimamente el tiempo para hacer post por estos lados me es bastante poco, pero cada tanto trato de regresar por lo menos a esta comunidad. Lamentablemente dos de los retos en los que participaba de forma recurrente ya no están disponibles... Todo cambia en esta vida, pero bueno, seguimos adelante. Esta vez los arqueros brillan, pues la condición de batalla así lo dictamina.
Going the Distance
Only units with ranged attacks may be used.
Consider including units with the Close Range and Return Fire abilities in your lineup.
Fungus Flinger was my first card of choice, his martyr ability excellent for empowering the card that followed, the war elephant. His ability to hit from a distance was also going well as the Fungus Flinger fell, although the difference in power didn't leave me very well off.
For his part my opponent did something similar, as he used a martyr in the first position as well. Let's remember that only cards with ranged attack are allowed, so it is a common strategy to boost cards that either have double attack type or an ability that allows them to attack in the first place.
Fungus Flinger fue mi primera carta elegido, su habilidad de mártir, excelente para darle poder a la carta que luego seguía, el elefante de guerra. Su habilidad para golpear a distancia también iba bien mientras caía el Fungus Flinger, aunque la diferencia de poder al fin no me dejó muy bien parado.
Por su parte mi rival hizo algo parecido, pues usó un mártir en la primera posición también. Recordemos que solo se permiten cartas con ataque a rango, por lo que es una estrategia común para potenciar a cartas que o bien tengan doble tipo de ataque o bien una habilidad que les permita atacar en el primer lugar.
War Chaang was my second card, with Retaliate and blast by battle condition he was pretty steady in the matchup. but he fell to Xenith Archer at the end of the first turn. He managed to dodge one of the crossbowman's hits but this was not enough, the martyr did his job quite well, as he empowered the gargoyle to easily finish off the front line.
Since there was earthquake as well, the gargoyle remained standing, but several of his companions and my lineup were affected. Leaving only The Gargoyle, Venari CrystalSmith, Fire Splitter and Naga Assesin.
War Chaang fue mi segunda carta, con Retaliate y blast por condición de batalla fue bastante firme en el enfrentamiento. pero cayó a manos de Xenith Archer al final del primer turno. Logró esquivar uno de los golpes del ballestero pero esto no fue suficiente, el mártir hizo bastante bien su trabajo, pues le dio poder a la gárgola para acabar con facilidad con la línea del frente.
Dado que había terremoto también, la gárgola se mantuvo en pie, pero varios de sus compañeros y de mi alineación se vio afectada. Quedando solo La Gárgola, Venari CrystalSmith, Fire Splitter y Naga Assesin.
For the third place I opted for Tatiana Blayde, her power to attack from a distance even being in front by “Close Range” combined with her physical attack were my “ace up my sleeve”, but her low health and the blast in the battle ended up leaving her overshadowed and unable to do anything to make a difference.
Despite her low health Xenith Archer knew how to take advantage of the blast, because before falling her damage was a coup de grace.
Para el tercer lugar opté por Tatiana Blayde, su poder para atacar a distancia incluso estando al frente por "Close Range" combinado con su ataque físico eran mi "as bajo la manga", pero su poca vida y el blast en la batalla terminaron por dejarla opacada e incapaz de hacer algo para marcar la diferencia.
A pesar de su poca vida Xenith Archer supo aprovechar el blast, pues antes de caer su daño fue un golpe de gracia.
For the fourth place I placed Fire Spitter, his attack power is not so great but his speed and skill make him a good prospect to dodge a lot. However, due to the power Gargola Devil gained when his martyr fell, he managed to finish both Fire Spitter and Naga Assesin in one hit. Both in the same turn (due to the blast).
Pelacor Arbalest was my opponent's choice, his double hit didn't shine so much because War Chaang managed to dodge one, however, he still contributed to my team's downfall.
Para el cuarto puesto coloqué a Fire Spitter, su poder de ataque no es tan grande pero su velocidad y habilidad lo hacen un buen prospecto para esquivar bastante. No obstante, por el poder que ganó Gargola Devil al caer su mártir, de un golpe logró acabar tanto con Fire Spitter como con Naga Assesin. Los dos en un mismo turno (por el blast).
Pelacor Arbalest fue la elección de mi rival, su doble golpe no brilló tanto pues War Chaang logró esquivar uno, no obstante, aun así contribuyó a la caída de mi equipo.
In fifth place was the Venari healer CrystalSmith in her beautiful golden version. Her attack power is not much, but by giving Gargoya Devil time she was part of the reason why my team was easily wiped out. The gargoyle's power when powered up definitely made her the protagonist of the battle.
For my part the Naga was my choice, its power is low but it offers good stats in relation to the mana it asks for. However, as I mentioned before, it fell to the attack of Gargoya Devil to Fire Spitter, this by the blast. In this battle I ended up defeated, but even so, it wasn't a bad experience.
En el quinto puesto estuvo la sanadora Venari CrystalSmith en us preciosa versión dorada. Su poder de ataque no es mucho, pero al dar tiempo a Gargoya Devil fue parte de la razón por la que mi equipo fue arrasado con facilidad. El poder de la gárgola al ser potenciada la hizo definitivamente la protagonista de la batalla.
Por mi parte la Naga fue mi elección, su poder es bajo pero ofrece buenos stats en relación al maná que pide. No obstante, como antes mencioné, cayó ante el ataque de Gargoya Devil a Fire Spitter, esto por el blast. En esta batalla terminé derrotado, pero aun así, no estuvo nada mal la experiencia.
