About a day to the season end for Ranked Play at Splinterlands, and it is time for me to see what's my progress toward completing the Rebellion SB set. I decided not to wait any longer since tomorrow I have my Hive goals post, so I can't write this update because I only publish one post per day.
Since the update is one day earlier, I expect the numbers to reflect that, and that next season's numbers to be higher for the same reason, because they'll include the extra day from this report.
I haven't reached CL2 yet but there is still a chance (kind of small) until the end of the season.
What I accomplished during this season, however, was to max out my first Rebellion SB legendary card, Syrenth, and switch focus to epics afterwards.
I purchased 4 legendary draws this time around and all 25 epic draws. With the remaining Glint, I purchased 4 common draws, depleting my Glint stash.
That makes it easy to see how much Glint I earned this season (including the season rewards from last season). That makes it a total of 328,100 Glint used for draw purchases this season. Last season I had a total of 341,850 Glint in purchases. That means I earned 13,750 less Glint this season. Remember! That's about 26 hours before the end of this season when I'm writing this post...

That's +3% to the progress of legendary cards (and stopped, for now), +7% progress to epic cards (and +1% to epic GF). No progress to common and rare cards in percentage terms, but I expect to have progress starting next season.
I reached my first maxed out Rebellion SB legendary card, so I switched focus to epic cards during the season, so I will include both snapshots for legendary cards and epic cards in this update.
Here are the "before and after" snapshots for the Rebellion SB legendary cards. "Before" first:

One card was leveled up to level 4 and one to level 3, which is pretty lucky from only 4 pulls.

Next season I won't buy any more legendary draws, so I will have a lot more excess Glint to buy into the rare and maybe the common draws. Once I'll have at least 1 maxed card on all rarities, I'll re-introduce legendary draw purchases.
Perhaps a more relevant metric is the amount of Glint already spent compared to the total amount needed to max out the SB set (only regulars).

The halfing refuge at level 3 is such a beast with that heal ability. Congratulations really. I think I mostly wait for the end of the season to do my glint shopping, this way it's easier to account for season's growth and make better comparisons with subsequent seasons.

Rares = 50% Max others at L7 and one at L6 somehow due to RNG lol
Epics = L3-L5
Legends = L1-L3 so it's all over the place lol but I hope the EoS Rewards help me get these moved up :)
You're doing really well! 65% overall, compared to 40% myself. RNG will play us more tricks the more cards we have maxed out. In my case there isn't a problem... yet.

Good luck on CL2 and I think it's great to see you finally start maxing some cards. It reminds me that it's the end of the season and I need to lower my rank.
Looks like it won't happen... Since I dropped to CL3, I spend too much time in Diamond leagues to make it to CL2, I guess.
What if you focus on Epics first and then Rare and then Common. It is cheap to even buy a few Common Cards if you needed a few.
That's what I do. But I won't overpay for epics. I'll only buy the 25 of the first batch, and I will have enough leftover Glint to buy either common or rare draws. Or maybe both, I'll see this coming season.
Definitely agree on not buying the second Batch.
